Not writing him off the kid has skills. I'm just saying as of right now he shouldn't be the favorite over Bradley or Alexander.

Yes and this goes both ways.

All fighters fight old washed up guys coming up.IMO Ortiz should've been fed more of these guys to gain experience before being thrown in with a hard punching top teer guy like Maidana in a main event.

Ortiz is doing what is supposed to be done to these older men, blowing them out.

That melt down you speak of was one fight, and a fight that some people including me think was to pre mature at the time for Ortiz.

I guess you can question the mans heart because of what happened with Maidana, but that only goes so far.IMO looking at Ortiz's last 4/5 fights since,he has improved and looks more comfortable in the ring knowing how to mix aggression with boxing.to let the KO come rather than always going for it.

I dont think its fare to rate a guy by one fight, but to each his own.

I give Ortiz the benefit of the doubt to prove the next time faced with such a challenge as maidana brang to him that he will show heart and dig deeper than he has ever before.

You gotta have heart when your abandoned by your parents to fend for yourself at such a young age.

fighters melt down differently...ortiz quit and devon melted mentally...when devon knew he couldn't stop kotelnik, what happened ??? he stopped fighting and started pitter pattering his way to victory...my thing is this, if he dont get vic out early (which i doubt he can), what's he gonna do in the 7th, 8th and 9th rounds vs a slick, quick southpaw with power.....

Freddy... I think that Ortiz can handle the overly hyped Devon and that Victor could outbox Bradley. I think that Ortiz is back to form and should not be taken lightly by any opponent or betting man.

I think Alexander has a lot to worry about as Vic showed that at close range he can close the show early.

No... Alexander is hype he made his resume not fighting top tier talent and Bradley looked all too human in his last fight. i take Ortiz by Ko over Devon Alexander and Give him a very good chance to outbox bradley.

 so let me get this straight...You're picking him over the champs when he hasnt been tested yet..I'll give you that Alexander didnt look that good in his last fight but he didnt quite when the going got tough for him.

Bradley has shown that he can face adversity and over come it! So I dont get how you can say he beats them when he hasnt been tested every since he quit. Sorry I just dont see it now!

The big question is...When the going gets tough for Ortiz, will he whilt under pressure or quit again...Thats the main point...We cant get a honest assement until he see him face adversity...Fighting old Nate Campbell and Vivan Harris doesnt cut it!

Just look at all of these people that are calling Dirrell a quitter against AA...So imagine if he was to say that Abraham was hitting him too hard and he didnt need to bet getting hit like that...You'll never hear the end on how much of a ***** Dirrell is...Hell, you're already getting it even though it was AA that committed the foul.

Honestly I think he beats maidana in a rematch ... people talking like maidana smash this dude out the water .... after he knocked maidana down he rushed in and got caught ... if he would've taken his time he probably would've walked all over maidana ...at the end of the day he had more knockdowns than maidana. he thought it was going to be a cake walk after the knocked and then boom he went down

I slightly favor the other top dogs but not by much

Khan knocked ortiz out in the amateurs pretty bad ... 2nd round if I recall correctly mayb the 3rd .. so ima go with khan in that one .. but not ruling ortiz out .. I think he's the strongest puncher @ 140
