Yeah. In a year or two when Joyce has some high level experience and Ortiz has dropped off a bit, it would be a great, winnable fight for Joyce. As of now, it would be a farce and i can't see it happening.
That would be a great undercard, especially Ortiz Breazeale, but I can't see it happening. Hope I'm wrong
The Juggernaut would give everyone hell in the heavyweight division due to his combination of size, durability, workrate and an awkward but effective style. Let's make that fight happen.
Ortiz would knock him out. Joyce almost the perfect style for Ortiz. If you come forward throwing punches like Joyce does...he,ll make you pay for it. Ortiz by knockout.
I think that would be a great 50/50 fight but it needs to happen soon because Joyce will get better and Ortiz will decline, in a year or two Joyce would go through Ortiz like a knife through butter.
I'd like to see Ortiz vs Joyce - he's not got time to waste, and this is exactly the trench fight he needs to become a man. I think he will give as good as he gets as compared with Dave Allen if he can stay out of range. Joyce can hit, and he is 18 stone plus of athleticism not a 15 stone wilder... he should be able to weather a lot of punches.
If Joyce tries to pressure Ortiz then most likely Joyce himself gets knocked out within 3 rounds right now. In couple of years 2 or 3 may be Joyce can win while fighting on the outside behind his jab via robbery or late K.O when Ortiz gasses like the way he did while trying to stop Wilder. Even someone as crude as Whyte probably can stop Joyce if he is packing glass as some believe in here.
Might be too soon, might also be a decent calculated gamble. He's 33 and so in a little bit of a hurry to find out his true level. Losing to Ortiz right now wouldn't really be too much of a set-back considering his inexperience but I don't think he has time to ease his way through the levels to gain the experience needed to make this match-up a more surefire thing. Might as well dip his toe...
I think Wilder would knock Joyce out right now because he is a lot faster but Ortiz is a bit flat footed and not that fast so i think Joyce would have a good chance to bulldoze him and wear him down.
Yeah stylistically Ortiz is a better match up for Joyce than Wilder. Wilder would close the distance and ping Joyce chin all day, Joyce would inevitably fall.
But when have we seen Joyce packing glass, the guy defends himself with his face. Never seems phased either - ergo = The Juggernaut
He's 33 not 23, you guys want him to step up when he's 35? LOL Didn't he sign with Haymon to get quality fights? Would be a farce if he faced someone **** like George Washington.
