This would be a great fight. Ortiz and Khan...especially after Khan's preparations for the rematch to Peterson. I imagine Khan's inside game and ability to withstand bully-like tactics is much better. I think he beats Ortiz on points.
Khan would get his Glass Jaw shattered violently. He doesn't have the Jab, footwork, inside game, or power to keep Ortiz off of him and he probably ends up flattened on the ropes.
I said 'I imagine'.. Based on this ... This content is protected This content is protected *translation* Anyone who actually follows Khan knows that above all this guy has a lot of pride and drive. Most fighters in his position would have seriously faded away after the Prescott flash-fluke, but not Khan, he came back bigger and stronger to battle way better opponents. His rematch against Peterson was going to be a serious war. His camp was focused on doing everything right that he did wrong in the first fight (which he should have won if it wasn't for Joe 'Thunder' Cooper). http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/147773.html Khan canceled some media commitments just to focus on training. I'd have picked him in a UD against Peterson if not a late round KO in the rematch. I' fairly positive that the Khan that comes out of the Peterson-Rematch-Camp is going to be much better at the things that made him look bad in the first fight..a fight he actually won without the point reductions. So its based on my knowledge of my pick that I imagine Khan being much better at the inside game. So I wouldn't be able to levy everything on the inside in favor of Ortiz.
Can see Victor being troubled possibly even put down early only to get up and put Khans lights out spectacularly. Ortiz to win an up and downer in which doesn't go past 7
This is a stupid post, then again I doubt you are an analyst are you? Khan's jab is more than enough to keep Ortiz back. Ortiz would have to dive in just like Peterson did. How much of a jab does Ortiz have? Or are you just seeing him trying to smother Khan all night? Khan's footwork isn't the best and will improve(or has post-Peterson)..but Ortiz has NO footwork whatsoever. So what is going to happen here? Do you think about boxing at all or do you just favor brawler-types in general?
Khan's Jab sucks. It has no force behind it and no accuracy. Ortiz has a Glass Jaw but it is infinitely more solid than Khan's China Chin and he would have no problem coming through Khan's shoeshined pitty-patty flurries to corner him and beat him up. If you saw how the smaller, lighter punching Peterson was able to bully Khan around then you would have to be mentally ******ed (and that is possible given that you have already categorically stated that Khan has improved his inside game and footwork with no evidence to support the theory) to think that Ortiz isn't even more capable of doing the same. Khan is a joke. His footwork consists of running a backwards marathon around the ring, he has no power to speak of, no punching accuracy, and most importantly, no Chin whatsoever. He has proven on multiple occasions that he cannot handle pressure, he has proven that he has no Chin and can be put on Bambi legs by a Jab, and he has proven that he mentally folds like a lawn chair when the going gets tough. He is British-level and only a moron such as yourself would pick him to beat a bigger, stronger pressure fighter after he failed in his last outing against a similar style. If this fight is ever made I will be sure to bump this post and remind you of how infinitely stupid you are as I have done nuthuggers of Vernon Paris, Bute, Latimore, and numerous other Glass Jawed Frauds that I have predicted would be exposed.
I don't see how GBP does not make this happen in a few years,I would love to see it Personally I think Khan would start off fast, prolly score a early knockdown, but I think in the end Ortiz is gonna knock Khan out,I think the blueprint has been put out on Khan, and Ortiz is capable of applying it
Khan for all his flaws has no quit in him. Ortiz is possibly the worst WBC welter champion of all time. Khan in 10 onesided ass shafting rounds .
Khan hates pressure and power. That's exactly what Ortiz brings, Ortiz will get him out of there within 6.
Lets go ahead and break down your post bit by bit because..well..its so easy.. You say this because other people say...who also are bad analyst say this Peterson's face says different.. This content is protected This content is protected Along with the score-cards for the fight PRIOR to Joe Thunder Cooper taking away points...without the ref regardless whether you liked the fight he fought or not Khan beat Peterson. Period. Sour grapes? The fact that people say Khan has bad accuracy means they aren't paying attention. How can a fighter who basically wins on points have bad accuracy? Point denied. Both Khan and Ortiz fought Maidana....What happened there? They both struggled against a better swarmer than Peterson and Khan wins, Ortiz quits...'No Mas'. Judges score points on Khans flurries, if you don't like it thats too bad his flurries. But those same flurries (which Khan doesn't even throw that much) have beaten most fighters. Oh, you want to bring up Khan's flash-fluke knockout againt Prescott? Okay, but what happened to Khan after that fight..against better opponents and harder punchers? Point denied. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfgKr5wK9oY[/ame] Lamont Peterson is 5 ft 9 in with a reach of 74 in (188 cm) Victor Ortiz is 5 ft 9 in with a reach of 70 in (178 cm) Amir Khan is 5 ft 10 with a reach of 72 (180 cm) Who exactly is smaller than who? (And my point earlier was based on the information coming out of Amir Khan's training camp in preparations for Lamont Peterson's rematch and what I said exactly was 'I imagine Khan's inside game and ability to withstand bully-like tactics is much better.' -so therefore its mentally ******ed to take camp info and project into the near future the outcome? Khan trains very hard, he changed strength trainers and changed everything in his training camp, he pressed inside fighting to Roach etc..) IF Ortiz is capable of doing the same against Khan that Peterson did, why should I think the scorecards would be any different? There is no reason to think otherwise. For all the problems you seem to see in Khans game he still out boxed Lamont Peterson badly..which caused Peterson to try to lay on him in the first place. Khan just as conceivably out boxes and out points Ortiz. So apparently you have a bias towards british fighters. Khan is 28-2 and his lost to Peterson came with fishy home-town referee interference and score-card shenanigans in a city that hadn't seen boxing a big fight in 20 years.. This content is protected Khan gets Bambi-legs against Judah huh? Incase you forgot how that fight ended.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEB1IQxcBzY[/ame] Ortiz has already given up in the ring. Khan hasn't given up once (and had the same rough time against Maidana). Ortiz folds, not Khan. See, there goes your bad analysis again. What else you got? Just so you know I had Zab over Paris and Froch over Bute anyway.. So what you do is bookmark this and wait for Ortiz, Khan fight to happen. Ill be waiting... :thumbsup and..Khan has already beaten Ortiz in the amateurs, so it wont be his first time in the ring with Ortiz (he won by KO).
