Great fight. Difference here is Kotelnik has balls and Ortiz doesn't... plus, Ortiz is fighting in a safety first style now-a-days and I don't think that'll serve him well in this fight because we all know Kotelnik can bring it. Kotelnik by 8th round KO.
If Ortiz adopts Khan's strategy, I think he'll win. Don't make the mistake that Maidana and Alexander made, and think you can knock him out. Because you won't! The dude has a cast iron chin, and won't go down for ****. It's a dangerous fight. Kotelnik showed us last time round that he is a world-class operator who's not an easy fight for anybody.
Ortiz by fairly comfortable UD. It's clear at this point that it's going to take a monumental effort to stop Kotelnik.
Ortiz can mimic the Khan gameplan, which Kotelnik can't really deal with. He beat Alexander, but Alexander stayed right there for action. If Ortiz adopts an in and out, quick bursts and reset strategy, Kotelnik doesn't have the punch or the speed to deal.
Ortiz. Kotelnik won't knock Ortiz out because I believe he'll be adopting Khan tactics, whether he's as effective or not won't matter. If it goes to the cards Ortiz wins and Kotelnik gets shitted on again, you got to feel sorry for the guy. I'm actually hoping Victor wins back some fans puts on a show and deals with him in good fashion, he's got to see this as an opportunity to gain back some respect and credibility, if he can do what Alexander couldn't then his name will be legitly right back in the mix.
I think it could go either way. These are both very good fighters, one win away from being right up there with the other top names of the division. THIS win away, I think.
If Ortiz sticks to the Khan gameplan, I think he wins...but Kotelnik could frustrate him. This bout could go either way, really looking forward to it.
Kotelnik is not the puncher that Maidana is so I don't see why Ortiz doesn't try to bang it out with him if that's what Kotelnik wants to do.
