I wasn't implying that Kotelnik has anywhere close to Maidana's power...but Kotelnik has a great chin, and good defense. If Ortiz tries to get rid of Kotelnik, he could be in for a shock...and that may lead to Ortiz fighting Kotelnik's fight.
I don't see Ortiz "ko'ing" Kotelnik I just don't think that's possible. He needs to offer Kotelnik movement and outwork him. Kotelnik from what I've seen tends to be a slow starter so Ortiz needs to dart in and out throwing combos especially in the early rounds. Kind of adopt the same strategy I want Pacquiao to use against Margarito except Marg is more of a danger to Pac than Andreas is to Victor. He needs to avoid trying to look great and please the crowd like Alexander attempted. Just win like Khan did it doesn't matter if you look only very good in doing so. VERY hard to look great against Kotelnik.
Im sitting on the fence on this one as im still not convinced about Ortiz and Kotelnik is a world class operator with an iron chin and balls to mach, Head says Kotelnik heart says Ortiz
Ortiz didn't kayo two-time Robbie Peden kayo victim/literal grandpa from a lighter weight class Nate Campbell in four...or at all. You think he's just going to bowl over a walking chin? ...I hope that was sarcasm.
No way Kotelnik stops Ortiz and I would be very surprised if he got a decision. Kotelnik has an iron chin so I'll say Ortiz by UD.
