Right, an aggresive chinny fighter VS Pac...I think i've seen that before. Ortiz isnt gonna outbox him and he aint gonna win a war. Pac just made iron chin mosley run after a KD, Maidana put Ortiz on the canvas how many times? Even Berto did it too. It'll be brutal. Id watch it not because its competitive but because it will be a war for 3 rounds until Pac KHTFO. Heck I wouldnt count out a 1st round stoppage.
Ortiz would have abetter shot than anyone who isn't Mayweather/Martinez/Williams but I'd still favor Pac. I give Ortiz about a 25 percent shot of tapping that chin.
Ortiz KHTFO!!!! Pac has been fighting old and past-prime, weight-drained, sluggers who most of the time where coming off from loses. The last time he fought a decent fighter in his prime with decent skills, he literally got outboxed. He's also been koed and rocked by lesser opponents, for example Larios down at 130. Ortiz brings something different to the table, he's young, strong, with heart and very good boxing skills plus he's a southpaw. Yes Ortiz was koed by Maidana but Maidana is still better then Torrecampo and I truly beleive Ortiz has improved and learned from that experience. Ortiz not only can brawl but he can box patiently as he showed in the Diaz and Campbell fights, can Pac truly say that? Pac is not some invincible monster, it's been proven many times before that he can be outboxed. Ya'll act like hes never been beat before. Ortiz will be the one to stop the "Pacquiao illusion" mark my words.
People will definitely get their money's worth with this fight. I see this fight only ending with a knockout. Pac should fight 2 more times this year the fight with Mosley wasn't really worth the wait
If Pacquiao regains the bounce on his feet that he had before the mosley fights(hurt leg didn't left him move well from side to side) then ortiz doesn't get to round 4....if it's the Pac that showed up for the Mosley fight then he could be in serious trouble cause Ortiz is a one punch power guy.
bull****, Ortiz fights just like Margarito, although he is not as big, I see a later round stoppage by Pac, unless he finishes him early. After Marquez I can see Ortiz getting the fight over Bradley, as Ortiz has more of a fan base, money drives these fights more than anything, I wish you guys would realize that and not get so upset everytime Pac's next opponent is mentioned.
I give him less, he leaves his chin wide the **** open to be cracked, Pac takes this pretender down late as we know vic has got a strong chin to get up after those Berto bombs to the face.
You're right, a smart slick fighter would whoop him, but Ortiz ain't it, so Pac takes him. The early rounds would not be simple for Manny though.
ortiz is a brawler, and he's open for shots. pac would eat him for breakfast. literally keep knocking him down until its stopped or ortiz cant get up. srs.
Manny not good on the inside? Did you see that nasty little uppercut he landed on Cotto? RIght now Pacquiao is the total package in terms of skills. I think it would be a good fight to watch, if Ortiz brought it early on and would have the (lame word incoming) 'puncher's chance', but really I just see Ortiz as a poorman's pacquiao. Pacman would just land first and follow up with a KO win.
If Victor tries to take Pac out then i see an awesome but early ko.. Victor might suprise some and and catch Pac with a knockdown, but i dont think that would be to smart for Victor... He is to open when in a firefight and Pac would catch him with a Hatton like bomb... Pac ko with 3 rounds but wild fight, with Pac getting the best of it after a rocky start and ending it with a violent ko. If Vic decides to play it more conservative box and wait for openings and try and counter then he lasts a little longer.... I can see him doing well early and fighting Pac on even terms the first few rounds...Then Pac hurts him around the 4th.. Vic opens up and does well but gets dropped... He resorts to boxing moving again but once he starts mixing it up agains Pac either drops him or starts breaking him down and huritng him... Ortiz fights his heart out but is stopped by the 7th or 8th round.
