People seem to think that Thurman is a future of the WW. A lot of people think Ortiz is finished. It would be a crossroads fight....If Thruman is defeated, it's back to the drawing board and he's not as good as people think he is. If Ortiz is defeated... he's done, period. Ortiz is faster, hit just as hard, and has fought better boxers Thurman hits hard, but has fought no one near as good as Ortiz. They both have questionable chins. I think Ortiz would KO Thurman. He has the faster hands and is a SOUTHPAW. Plus I think people are overrating Thurman (They want/need someone new to believe in). Who do you guys got.
Ortiz could put Thurman away early. If you jump on Thurman early he is beatable with a KO. The longer the fight the better the chances Thurman beats any WW.
Ortiz is still legit id say Thurman survives an early scare maybe a knockdown but then eventually breaks Ortiz down and stops him Thing about Ortiz is he trades so early and walks through shots he doesnt need to that later it breaks him down and he doesnt wanna do it anymore Reminds me of Tor Hamer in the ring at first they seem like bullies but then they give in, its like they are trying to convice you they are tougher than they are
Good thing about Thurman is there are alot of matchups that can be made with him at 147-154 (this is just Goldenboy for the record) such as: Ortiz Gurrero Porter Khan Malinaggi Garcia (if Garcia moves up) Berto Karass (he just beat him) Maidana Broner Mayweather (probably will never happen) Alvarez (if Thurman moves up) Lara (if Thurman moves up) Trout (if Thurman moves up) Alexander One interesting fight is Devon Alexander wonder how he does against a good boxer with movement would prefer Maidana though
Ortiz gets beat down . But it would be crazy if he comes back and completely whoops Thurman . MAJOR RESPECT !!
I think Thurman beats Ortiz but i don't know why you are laughing as Ortiz's best chance would be by early stoppage. Thurman was stunned by a Karras shot in the 1st round for example. Thurman is really good but he will get Ko'ed in his career as its just the way he fights its kill or be killed. What i like about Thurman is he isn't afraid of losing his 0 (his words, not mine) and wants to fight the best to see how he matches up. oh MR Pibb, i forgot to ask, am you still a big fan of Broner after he got brutalized and humbled by Maidana?, who you said wouldn't even land a shot vs the much faster, much better AB who you said as better defense than anybody at WW not named Floyd.
