I think you make a good point. Oquendo really has been the uncrowned champion since he beat Ruiz or Byrd or someone like that fifteen years ago and was denied the belt just because the judges fell asleep and did not know how to accurately judge it.

Also he is the people's champion, so in a way he is the unified champion or something.

He's probably better than Wilder, or at least the last four guys Wilder beat.
