    Pretty much this..

Ortiz just didn't look real good the last two outings but Scott just ran and its pretty hard to do anything about that and the Rhino wasn't on the same level with a good chin which can also make a boxer look bad...

I think Ortiz is too good a boxer to get caught clean and Wilder may struggle...

Wilder will wait until The Real King Kong visibly ages a little more before attempting to windmill him into submission.

I honestly think this is fake news either started by Wilders team to make him look better or some one else in the industry who has some other motivation..

Even the Wilder is sick of getting crap about his resume isn't that believable...

That means you must consider Wilder and Ortiz as #'s 1 and 2 in the division, which is quite frankly laughable given the best name in their 67 combined fights is Bryant Jennings. If Wilder were to beat Ortiz he would be a top 2 contender alongside Joshua for his win over Klitschko, nothing more. One win over a top 5 boogeyman does not make you the guy.

Wilder and Joshua both will not step in the ring with this guy. Jennings and Thompson both said Ortiz hits a lot harder than Wlad. Joshua and Wilder both would get ate alive by this guy. Joshua will be losing his WBA belt by ducking Ortiz and fighting undeserving Wlad again. But the fight will only be for the IBF belt. Ortiz earned his title shot while Wlad is 0 for his last 2.

Have no faith in the fight actually happening.

If it somehow does get made I will be betting Ortiz, I expect the Cuban to time Wilder and put him down. Wilder always has the equaliser but I would expect Ortiz to anticipate his telegraphed windmilling and methodically counter him again and again, while maintaining relative caution, and put his lights out if the situation presents itself. My main concern for Ortiz is how physically slow he is in relation to Wilder, they are on opposite ends of the heavyweight speed spectrum.

I am actually higher on The Real King Kong than most on the forum and other than Wladimir and Joshua I would take him against any other current heavyweight (even though I do think his passport contains porkies). The other great thing about Ortiz beating Wilder would be that Joshua and Hearn couldn't ignore him anymore. Ortiz and Wladimir are the only two fighters on the planet right now I see as having a decent shot at upsetting AJ, with Wilder himself I give only the proverbial punchers chance.

Actually, I've been saying for awhile now that I thought Ortiz was the class of the division, though he's aging and perhaps past his best at this point. Even so, were Ortiz to fight Joshua 2 months from today, I'd pick him to win. So it follows that if Wilder were to beat Ortiz, I would consider him the man at HW. I really don't care what you consider laughable, tbqh.

That's a fair explanation, Ortiz is certainly up there. I just don't hold him in as high a regard as you do based solely on him passing the eye test. If I did I would also have Loma as P4P #1. Yes, Ortiz has looked good up until very recently and would pose problems to any of the other top guys but he still only has one good name on his resume, and that's nowhere near enough for me to consider him #1, let alone the guy in the division.

I think Wilder has a better chance than many think. His height, speed and most importantly movement will give Ortiz a lot of problems. If Wilder boxes and moves he will win a decision against Ortiz.

Ortiz does have a punchers chance and if Wilder tries to go for the stoppage one good counter and it could all be over for Wilder.

But this is all hypothetical, no way Wilder goes anywhere near Ortiz, far too dangerous for too little reward. Wilder saw Ortiz was going to court to enforce his mandatory and so called Ortiz out knowing there was no chance Ortiz or his team would take a fight for peanuts against Wilder when the cash cow AJ is on the horizon. Ortiz himself has confirmed they are nowhere near agreeing to a fight, so no matter what Wilder says, he isn't fighting Ortiz.

Ortiz, but the WBC made Stiverne their mandatory for not fighting anyone, being inactive, getting fat, out of shape, drinking wine in the alley..................

Remember, WBC made Charlo #1 mandatory because Charlo beat an unknown wino from the alley who is also a cripple! Why?!

Yeah WBC's standards for getting a title shot seem to be shockingly low. They gave Arreola title shot after title shot for being overweight and fighting journeymen. He got a shot at the silver title by beating Molina who was a total unknown then, then got a vacant title shot for KOing Seth Mitchell who had just been KO'ed by Wlad's trainer lol.

It must be truly frustrating for Charlo to go in with the hopes of getting full credit for a victory only to have to constantly hear that he beat a handicapped opponent. On the other hand if he knows the condition of his opponent, why brag and make demands based on such a victory? Comes across as peevishly delusional and as an insult to the intelligence of the fans who witnessed the whole obvious debacle.

Ortiz is old and overrated, but if he lands a good shot on Wilder's fragile mandible, this one's over early.
