I dunno man. Ortiz seemed to step off the gas against Peterson after 3 or 4 rounds, I think it was because Peterson began catching him with some hard counters and looping right hands that hurt him, which brought back flashes of the Maidana fight. Good point about Berto though, I'm just not sure that Ortiz can replicate that kinda performance against Khan, who's not as flatfooted as Berto. I don't think he'll stand and trade as much (especially when he feels Ortiz's power). Both guys blow hot and cold, I think this fight will be decided by which version of either guy shows up on the night.
Ortiz will punch right thru that weak-ass high guard Khan puts up. Unless...Bulking up to 147 does wonders for him This content is protected
Plus not only does Ortiz punch probably harder than Maidana he does it with accuracy and speed, Ortiz will be so much physically bigger, you think Khans powerpuff at 140 imagine what it'll be like at 147 against the big boys, uhoh.
if ortiz can get into close quarters often or even occasionally in each round it'll be a KO for ortiz...can't see Khan taking quick, straight lefts hand and powerful hooks on the ropes or in the center of the ring with that high guard. Khan can't fight or won't commit to fighting in the inside and he sure can't keep his opponent at bay so this is a bad match up for khan unless he can make some adjustments from his errors in maidana and peterson fight I see him getting Ko'd or possibly squeaking out another maidana decision while taking serious punishment
