With absolute ease, he smashed the following guys: Roberto Ortiz, Mauricio Herrera, Antonio Orozc, Samuel Vargas and Egidijus Kavaliauskas. And I empathize on the ease part, because that is what made Ortiz stand out. He flatlined Herrera as if the latter were a complete bum.
Ortiz also stopped a few guys other prospect could not.

Is it a resume worthy of a title shot? No. But it´s a solid one and he has earned an opportunity to challenge himself vs one of the top ranked guys.

It´s likely due to the insane love he suddenly got, before Fundora.
For some folk here, Timmy was like the second coming of Ali. And they voiced that opinion loud. And heck, even after the Fundora loss they keep yapping.

 

Ortiz never faced an opponent lime Tzsyu in his career, and hasnt fought in 154 yet. On the other hand, Tzsyu has fought great competition and has constantly improved his calm and ring iq. I dont understand why when a fighter take the first lost immediatly the community start tu put him down and think that he isnt the same anymore. Tzsyu would beat Foundora nine times out of ten, he lost basically because he couldnt see nothing with and oppnent 20 cm taller than him, which means that this is not the kind of loss that could buries a fighter career.
I am not saying that Tzsyu would win this easily, but I see him slightly favourite against Ortiz. 60/40 or 65/35.
I think that at 154 Tzsyu is still the man to beat.
