why is everyone suggesting names like pac and mayweather?

obviously every fighter wants those guys but ortiz's victory last night just got his career back on the fast track last night so maybe it would be better to fight a few more winnable,50-50 fights before moving on to those guys

i think a bradley-ortiz or a maidana rematch would be a great way to boost his profile even more

it is a huge mistake if he even thinks of calling out floyd or pac at this moment, hes still too green

Maidana rematch, then Bradley/Khan or Alexander at 147. But if he can get FMJ/Pac he'll strike when the iron's hot

The problem with the Welterweight division is that you have two huge stars who give their opponents huge pay-days, then you have a bunch of decent fighters who fall into that high-risk/low-reward category.

The best fights for Ortiz would be someone coming up from 140, like Maidana or Bradley. I've always thought that Bradley-Ortiz would be a very nice style match-up but with Khan on Tims horizon, that doesn't seem likely.

Maybe Kotelnik? He was due to fight Ortiz before Khan jumped in and his reputation has been repaired by his showing against Alexander.

F*ck Headbut Bradley, I hope Khan wipes him out !! Obviously ther'll be a rematch in which we will have the same result or worse for Berto. Not sure if Maidana can move up to 147 & I dont think Ortiz should ever fight again at 140. Ortiz's style may be perfect though for Mayweathers return & it'll be a close fight & I'll be rooting for Ortiz. I agree though his promotors should strike while its hot although PAC will demolish him. How bout this... Paul Williams says he wants to fight again at 147 bring him on!!
