Mayweather can rabbit on about bringing in the crowds but ask your self this Floyd Boys could Floyd ever bring in 24000 fighting a no one like Steve Forbes?? Love him or loathe him Osca is still the most popular name in the game.

Floyds claim to fame (about ticket sales) really rode on the popularity of Hatton and Osca not the other way around as he spun it.

They didnt even sell that many for Hop vs Calzaghe....

    Osca has truly transended boxing

Hatton bought 35000 brits over to the Mayweather fight and his next fight against someone most people havent seen box sold out 55,000 in 9 days........that to me is more impressive

Lets not forget Calzaghe sold 53,000 for that match-up with Manfredo, another Contender hopeful

Oscar has the biggest draw in the USA for sure but the UK fighters pack more in to the arenas

Hatton sold 50.000 tickets in 2 days, against a nobody like forbes, lazcano. All german fights are sold out. i think Klitchko Povetkin can sell out a soccer stadium in germany

There is absolutly no arguing the fact that Oscar is the biggest dra in boxing. Both him and Hatton are bigger draws than Floyd by far. However, you do have to give Floyd some credit for those sales. Oscar has fought other big names, Hopkins, Vargas, Trinidad, Mayorga, Mosley, Chavez etc. Against Floyd he broke all records. he never even came close against any of those other guys and while the numbers for the forbes fight are not bad at all, they are a tiny fraction of what the numbers would be if it was floyd in there against Oscar

I don't think anyone has ever denied the fact that Oscar is the biggest ticket draw in the US. Another thing to keep in mind even though Oscar was the main draw in the fight with Floyd (to me anyway) you have to give Floyd a ton of credit because without him those numbers would not have been close. As for the PPV numbers in the US Floyd was mostly responsible for that and Hatton in the UK.

    I gotta agree.

Not only is he fighting an unknown, but he is also coming off of a loss. Oscar has taken boxing marketability to new heights. Gotta give the guy credit, like him or not.:good

They are fighting nobobys, so do you think could sell like that if he was against nobodys?

I love how Mayweather fans have to say something about everything. I hope he retires, just so his fans will go away.
