Oscar/GBP and HBO (Home of Beloved Oscar) need about 1 month to properly promote the fight, and Press Conference Tour, ect. Then Oscar needs 2 solid months of training, and the fight is the 1st week in December.

My guess is that Team Pacman WONT BUDGE on issues like 8 oz. gloves, 147, same day weigh in and ESPECIALLY 60-40. Guess what this means, Oscar fans and Gentlemen!!!!

Oscar and Richard Schaefer will come out with a statement, probably in oh, 2 weeks, that "A deal could not be finalized" "We regret that Manny Pac is being unreasonable" And of course "The money is still on the table" and finally the old GBP stand by "He''ll make more money fighting Oscar than he will anyone else" typical Golden Boy Promotion Excrement, which translates to WAAA WAAA WAAA, we didnt get our way.:deal

Comments, Oscarsexuals and guys of ESB?

Oscar is looking bad pushing to fight this little guy. Oscars head is almost as big as Paq's whole body. I'd rather see Paq fight Nate Campbell or Marquez again. If the fight does happen , I hope Oscar takes a horrific beating and an end comes to all this nonsense.

From day one I have stated that this farce would never take place.

But I have to admit that I'm not 100% convinced of that now, as long as negotiations continue there's a chance this might happen.

I even went as far as faxing GBP a nasty letter regarding this circus act. Not sure if it's and actual number or what good it will do but at least I gave it a shot.

Here's the fax # in case anyone is interested(got it off the GBP website):Fax 213-489-9048

I read that Arum has even less of a window to make a deal.

He is going with a PPV on November 1st or 8th I believe. Either Pacquiao against Soto if the Oscar fight doesn't get made or Margarito against probably Clottey if the Oscar fight does get made.

So, Arum needs to get the ball rolling on his November PPV. I believe I read that Arum wanted basically a deal in place this week.

This is great. If the fight falls through GBP and Oscar look like the fools they are trying to fight a little guy 20 lbs smaller just to get a win. Pac must keep demanding. And if the fight does go through Oscar still looks the cowardly fool. Fight night Pac 146 1/2. Oscar 164. Now that's pathetic!

Agreed, 110%. 60-40 or Oscar de la Hoya, GBP, Richard Schaefer and Joel Jr. can all go find the nearest Sewage Plant in the Los Angles area, and they can go to the giant processing area where raw sewage is flushed all across Southern California, and they can all try to emulate the Great US Divers on our Olympic Team, and dive right in, and you can quote me on all of that!:hi:

Whatever happen Oscar is destine for the HOF already. If I was Oscar I would take this fight, I wouldn't care what people think. This is an easy fight that I can make me tons of money. If it does happen i'm happy for Pac also. Pac and Oscar have always been fighting top opponents their career trying to make the $$$$$. Here they are at a moment in their life where they can make the $$$$$ with one fight and why would they not take it. There's a reason why they are going to be getting pay good for this fight and that's because they keep fighting the best. I think we're just selfish that they're going to be making a lot of $$$$$$ in this fight. If we were in Pac and Oscar shoes we would probably sign the contract already. I know it's a risk for Pac but hey every fight is a risk. You're always trying to make the best $$$$ everytime you fight and here it is, your chance to triple your biggest purse and you're just going to let it go....naw. If this fight happen I just want to say congratulation to Oscar and Pac, you guys deserve it. You guys fought your way to the top

Thats exactly what Oscar is doing. He has never cared what the public thinks, although someone at RING magazine has been going through these forums enough to cry about his online critics :hey ....but aside from that, as long as he is making a payday, thats all he cares about. His legacy could have been greatly enhanced by a V over Margarito for that WW belt, but instead he fights Verne Troyer East.
