Ward said he' go to 160 for Mayweather....164 for the super middleweight title is as viable as 155 for the 160....in act it' more as Ward would have had to lose only 4lbs....GGG 5lbs.... Try again...
Normally I would agree but in this instance it is Golovkin who had been messed around and not only is he the champion, imo as is the majority he was robbed in their first fight. I have no problem with Golovkin swatting Canelo and more so GBP to one side, as long as we have a legit top 10 fighter next.
Just goes to show how foolish it is to get all invested in the financial shenanigans … plenty of people looking silly right now, and, to be fair, on both sides of the argument too.
He has been messed around with, I won't deny that nor argue against it. Yet, when it comes to offers, it all comes down to popularity and draw power. We both know who wins that battle, and easily too. Think this entire thread is dead already. Looks like Golovkin agrees with me and has accepted the offer.
Indeed. I'll admit I thought there was a chance Golovkin was going to walk away from the mountain of cash - although I did say he'd be mad not to take it - which has left me feeling somewhat naive now so I can only imagine how stupid some posters must be feeling. FWIW - I just want the judging to be fair this time. If Canelo puts on a clinic, I won't like it but I'll accept it's his time now and look forward to seeing him fight the other top dogs at middleweight (even if I hope he's dethroned quickly).
Yeah, I had my confidence shaken a bit too. But a bit of uncertainty is not the same as the ducking accusations, quadruple G, etc. that was proliferating around the forum. Agreed also on the second part, let's hope for a clear result, and also for the winner to take on the best in the division. Lots of good fights to be made afterwards.
