bc only the judges were able to see the effects of shanes body punching on oscar relative to oscars pitty pat punches. not the people at home.

His current record is FAIR, although there should be some shuffling of the decisions on BOTH ends.

He beat Shane 2 and Tito, but lost to Ike Quartay and Sturm. I never saw the Whitiker fight.

OH AND HE BEAT THE **** OUT OF HOPKINS AND PAC THOSE WERE ROBBERIES!!111ONE

Seriously, why do idiots keep typing "He lost to Hopkins and Pac" WTF??

Agreed 100%. Oscar got screwed a couple of times in fights that were huge but got the W the fight with Sturm that really meant nothing anyway as Oscar was too far north of his weight class. In the Tito and Shane 2 fight I think had Oscar go the nod he deserved for those things would've went quite a bit better for him but it is what it is.

Oscar landed more punches vs. Ike and knocked him down 2-1. I can easily see why Oscar got the nod and wouldn't have argued if it was a draw, except for the fact Oscar stole that fight in the last round beating Ike sensless into the ropes. To me, it's a no brainer.

So why was Shane so surprised when he won? Why was shane so discouraged in his corner while pops had nothing constructive to say. Oscar won that fight. Terrible decision

I thought Oscar had been controlled and dominated by Ike's generalship, heading into the last round. I was impressed with Oscar's round 12 perfromance as it pulled him closer on the cards, but he was too far behind. There's no way he won the fight. I think he was going for a KO in round 12 b/c he KNEW he was too far behind. To talk about "punches landed" is totally meaningless, but that discussion has been had a million times already. Watch the fight, score the rounds. That's it. I don't see how Oscar could be ahead.

I have, more than a couple times. I had Ike up one point going into the 12th. Regardless I believe justice was served. You can't win a fight getting out punched and put on the floor more times then the other guy, not to mention losing the most important round of the fight so brutually. Oscar was shaken up for a few rounds that allowed Ike to pull ahread and I do see where the ring generalship was displayed, but in the end Ike was the worse for wear.

i did not see discouragement, at the end of one of the rounds, i saw shane walking to one of the corners with his hands up bc he punsished oscars body...THese thigns are not discienrable on tv buddy. trust me i used to fight.

    Cotto out box shane.....
oscar just existed in the ring, did nothing effecitve to shane really just threw some combos here and there.
but shanes body shots got to oscar, this is not the amatuers. there is a reason why all the ringside judges scored it including writers where as the people at home thought oscar won especially since hearing george forman oscar butt licking mouth. fair is fair man.

    cottos jab was effective.
oscar jab was, well i dont know what the **** it did when shane raped his body.

i think 16 ringside writers scored it for SSM and the UD. so try to see what they saw.

Oscar's losses to Shane in the first fight and PBF were clear losses. The second Molsey fight was a close loss. The only fight you could possibly say he clearly won was against Tito. Of course he clearly lost to Sturm and had several close wins he could have lost-the Whitaker fight for example.

i concur....wiht thise whol heartedly, ssm 2 fight was close and not at all a robbery. the judges preferred hard body punching over oscar ring generalship, this pro boxing.

There is NO WAY you can think he beat Shane in their first fight and consider yourself objective. Second fight is a different matter altogether, and I totally agree he beat Tito.

I think Oscar beat Whitaker and Quartey.

I think he lost to Sturm and Trinidad.

I think he was robbed against Mosley in the 2nd fight.

    Losses to:

    Quartey
    Mosley 1
    Sturm
    Hopkins
    Mayweather
    Pacquiao

    Draw:

    Whitaker

I had him narrowly winning the fights with Trinidad and the rematch with Mosley (who was on steroids and EPO).

    38-6-1

    Some Notes from Mosley-DLH 2

In a poll of 28 sportswriters at ringside, 16 scored it for Mosley, eight for De La Hoya and four had it as a draw.

    * The Associated Press had Mosley winning 116-113.

Shane was suprised because it was a cloase fight and he figured the close rounds would all go to DLH because of his popularity.
