Let's play a game. Name any well known boxer since 1980, between the weight classes of 135 - 147. We will see if we can connect them to Oscar De La Hoya within 6 degrees of separation... meaning that there can only be a maximum of 5 boxers in between the connection between Oscar and the named fighter. Although it can be LESS than 6 degrees. By boxers between them... of course I mean Oscar fought Boxer A, who fought Boxer B, who fought boxer C, ect..... Of course we have to name a well known fighter as it would be silly to name some dude who fought once at a Middle School Gym in Fort Smith Arkansas or something....

135 to 147 is too easy. Oscar fought too many people. If you actually want to make this a challenge to you have to include more weight classes.

Oscar has the best resume of any active fighter, and it isn't even close.

Had he been given the nod against Trinidad and Mosley II... you would be talking serious top end of the top 50 atg list.

Imagine if he still had his 0 against that lot?

WOW is all I would say. Never fighting an opponent with a losing record, taking on the best in several weight classes.
