This is the fight game. Wins are questionable. I felt Juan Manuel Marquez won both fights but my opinion doesn't count for all that much. Many people felt Sturm and Quartey beat Oscar. So what? Let's discuss actual wins.

Shot fighters don't look that impressive against a fighter of Manny's quality. He was past prime in the first fight, it was his last hurrah. Look at their rubber match for a shot version of Erik Morales. Whitaker wasn't exactly prime when Oscar beat him, and was Vargas ever the same after Tito? I have my doubts.

Barrera is a significantly better fighter than Ike Quartey, and whereas De La Hoya scraped past Ike, Pacquiao literally scraped up Marco. I disagree.

Hatton had previously just dominated a top ranked Junior Welterweight before being sparked out by a former Flyweight. Give credit where it's due. Like I said, Vargas was ruined by Tito or exposed, whichever you like. Mayorga, also. We can do this all day.

These are the facts. Manny Pacquiao has the better resume, and is achieving extrodinary things as of late. He was a Featherweight 6 years ago, and just recently he sparked Hatton and dominated Oscar. Manny is winning the majority of his big fights, whereas Oscar fell short against his contempories more often than not. Those are the facts.

 

Who gives a ****? We need a little perspective, Bad Intentions. Would you be quick to list Muhammad Ali as a great win for Larry Holmes? Exactly.

Not that it has much relevance to the discussion, but Oscar De La Hoya would always pose problems for Julio Cesar Chavez.

Oscar had terrific hand speed in his prime, and he showed against Trinidad that he can box effectively on the back foot. That's what he'd have to do if he wants to be successful against Chavez's combination's and unbreakable will.

Thats ridiculous...De La Hoya wasn't carefully manged like Pac is.
