As long as Tito, Sugar and PBF are on the list, ranked ahead of him, I have no problems with it.

    ATG is very subjective.

I doubt this "farewell" fight in December will be his last fight anyway.

One of the best fighters of our generation and a definite ATG, and a win over Margarito would be great, and if they fight it's Oscar UD.

i was never a huge de la hoya fan nor was i a faithful hater of his but being unbiased about it and statin facts...he seemed to always come up short in all of his big fights, hopkins, trinidad(that was DLH's bad), mosley, mayweather and now he wants pacquiao...:-(

there was a shitload of people he didnt fight........

look at all the competion at 130 and 135 when he fought for "WBO titles" jimmy bredahl who has never beaten anyone to this day and 60 fight veteran and ring worn feather weight jorge paez for the light weight title.
either you werent around when LD was fighting or you are blinded by the hype.....

ATG? Yes . . . but his latest acts of fighting bull**** money fights is damaging his legacy. He already lost to a 147 (Pbf) and now planning to fight a 130 pounder who has just made his debut at 135 . . . DLH needs to retire now.

Whi would, considering the varied talent he went up against? He was about even money with the elites of the era, what seperated him from most was that he actually did fight everyone, so while he may not have proved himself a class above guys like Quartey talent wise, his resume and accomplishments surpass most.

He's one of the best fighters of our era for sure in terms of resume at least. In terms of ability, under WW he was one of the most effective as well. Though he wasn't on a higher level all-around than most elite fighters.
