I could say the same thing about any other world champ from Hoya's time until now. Everyone shits on Hoya's career but I'd like to hear about who was better than him from his generation? How about today? Who's running a better record from 135-154? You can pick apart his career just like anyone else's but when you compare him to his peers he looks great after all.

I mean this respectfully, but Oscar de la Hoya can go **** himself. That wanker has been distracting everybody for far too long.

No I just enjoy ridiculing Tom Cruise to be honest. I've even made videos.

Seems to annoy some esb posters as well which is always a plus... :nut

retirement is something like a eulogy. haters and fans should pay their respects one way or the other.

after all, the guy did give us great fights over the years, and fought the best that this generation had to offer. (people who accuse him of cherrypicking can go hang themselves.)

there is no shame in ending his career against pac who is the no. 1 p4p.
fought the great fights. thank you oscar.

Too bad even you have to admit Oscar did more for the sport of boxing then mayweather ever did or will. Oscar also did more for Floyds career then any other man, minus his father and Uncle maybe, when he gave Floyd the spotlight and the biggest fight in history :deal

I saw Oscar win the gold medal back in 1992!!!!!!! He was the only American to win gold that year.
