    Yeah true, I think De La Hoya was sick of the trash talk and so he apeared angrey because usually De La Hoya is a causious starter in fights and he put Mayorga down with a left hook.

    Ruelas was a beast! back then, I think people started to take De La Hoya more serious after this win.

    His best performance was against Vargas.

    Vargas was the stronger man, he bullied Oscar early on. Oscar couldn't cope with his strength at first, but then he just began to box and move beautifully. He also actually used his right effectively, and for the first time he wasn't a one handed figher. Brilliant performance.

    In essence, De La Hoya-Vargas was a victory for pure boxing ability over size and strength.

    His fight against De La Hoya. I've never seen a better track impersonation from a fighter ever. Oscar deserved an oscar that night.

    Either Vargas or Quartey. Although I was rooting for Quartey to win and wanted Vargas to get knocked out so the Vargas victory was so much sweeter for me.

    De La Hoya's first fight against Chavez. Oscar was untouchable that night, he split Chavez eye with a crisp left handed jab within the first minute of the first round, Chavez could'nt get inside because De La Hoya wouldn't let him, when the ref stopped the action to check the cut, De La Hoya went at that cut with a killer instinct.

    De La Hoya said that Chavez wasn't the type of fighter to study or set a gameplan for his opponents, he just simply relyed on his pressure and body attacks until he eventually got the KO.

    For me that was the best De La Hoya I have seen, you could tell before the fight De La Hoya was ready, he was so focused.

    The first part of the Trinidad fight was a masterpiece. In my eyes De La Hoya won the fight.

    Oscar did beat Pea, the first one to ever legite beat Sweet pea. Oscar outlanded Whitaker in PowerPunchers by 2 to 1.

    No he fought the wrong fight. When he fought the right fight the 2nd time, Oscar outboxed a balco shane moseley but got robbed(the fight should be changed to a NC)
