He wrote an excellent letter. Mind you, many mayweather fans won't be able to read it, but hopefully their friends or relatives will do so for them.

I do not think the fight will make a lot of money by the way. Every MMA fan I've talked to agreed it was a farce and said they were looking forward to it - in recording, the next day. They aren't as stupid as boxing fans like to think, and they have been literally spoiled rotten by excellent cards that UFC has put out - the best consistently fight the best, at their physical peaks, on equal ground. Paying $100 to see an noncompetitive match would be extravagant and out of character for even the most hardcore mma zealot.

As for boxing fans, lets face it - its between latinos and brits. Latinos will pick Canelo over Mayweather any day, but Brits just might connect enough with the Irishman to buy this farce - thankfully, for a lot less than the american price. If all goes well, the purses and the expenses in production will exceed the profits and the fight will tank - to my extreme satisfaction.

As for myself, my PPV money is, as it always has, going to the GGG/Kovalev PPV. Both will be fire and will feature the best pound for pound fighters in the world of boxing at the peaks of their game - something no mayweather fight has given us since he changed his name.

No way. They would be stealing PPV sales and also media attention from each other, a lose-lose situation for both of these fights and for all the people involved. There has to be at least 400k people who would buy both fights.

Oscar didn't call out Conor to fight Canelo. He said that if Conor is so delusional as to think he can last against a top boxer, Canelo will oblige him and knock him out quickly. Just about every boxer said the same thing at some point - even Malignagi, that couldn't knock a glass off a shelf.

Take it whatever way you want but he seems to be willing to potentially organize this fight. Also it was Conor calling out Floyd and Floyd obliged.

Oscar could have just ignored Conor, especially since Conor never had any intention to box against Canelo.

I'm half expecting Connor to reach for a chair midway through the fight or suddenly tag team with Pacman. This is more WWF than IBF, to be honest...

It's not a real fight, everything about this even will be grotesque. Also I doubt boxing fans will be too fascinated with Conor shouting like an idiot on press conferences, only UFC fans seem to like this.

Yeah. Basically it's sports/entertainment rather than pure sport and if mug punters are prepared to fund this through huge PPV sales, that's up to them. I'll not be watching...

I can't believe that this cross dresser who not long ago was calling for Mcgregor vs Canelo is now urging fans to boycott Mayweather vs Mcgregor.

2 million buys is a joke. I wish some of you people would learn about market demographics. Haymon wouldn't even have returned Money's phone calls for 2 million PPV's.. Blasphemy... Moreover, Money wouldn't even have mentioned a fight to Haymon if there's only 2 million...

Oscar is just a jealous clown. This is the same fool who put a female MMA fighter, who never boxed in her life on the cover of Ring magazine, like boxing fans supported that ****. Anyone hating on Mayweather is just jealous because of the prospect of an easy payday. Any fighter in the sport would take the mcgregor fight for 75million and they are lying if they say they wouldn't.
