You know, at the very least, this would be an entertaining scrap. Oscar would lose, but he'd keep it close and it would be entertaining. More than I can say for Mayweather vs Oscar II, which will be close, but they'll have to create a circus to keep the audience alive, let alone awake!

Shane is more active than Oscar.
    He's less rusty
Isn't notorious for fading in fights

interesting. I thought Oscars wife had forbid him from fighting puerto ricans. I'd be surprised if it happens though, especially if he loses to Floyd again.

No way is the Fishnet going to fight 3 months after losing to Mayweather.

If the Fishnet beats Mayweather and there's no rubber match, watch Cotto-De La Crossdresser take place in May 2009.

That won't happen because the contract is for 150 lbs. Being at 160 allowed DLH to be fat. De La Hoya hasn't been below 153-154 since 2001. He says he's struggling and starving to make weight.

The biggest question is probably whether DLH will be drained and weakened by making 150.

At least you sound objective whe talking about DLH, no real sense of
    anti-hoya bitterness there:hat

Okay. The Golden Tranny will not fight 3 months after losing, or beating, Mayweather.

The Fishnet likes to fight on the Mexican holidays, Cinco De Mayo and around the Mexican Independence Day weekend in September.

Instead of having a big mega event between him and Cotto just 3 months later, it makes more sense to wait a few months. No better time than near Cinco De Mayo to have it.

He has time to rest, have a longer training camp, and promote the fight.

DLH is the best fighter of all time . . . . at ruining the chances of the matches that should be made.
