Quartey had a better claim at being jobbed than Whitaker.

The reason people forget or downplay that one is because they only remember round 12 and forget about the numerous other rounds where DLH stood there and did nothing, while Quartey was outjabbing and outlanding DLH, and winning a fight that wasn't hard to score.

The Whitaker fight was close as hell. The only problem I had with the decision was the amount DLH won by. 9-3?

 

He beat 1 great opponent and 4 good ones.

 

At least he was not cross-dressing back then, or was he????

Unfortunately, DLH didn't need to heed it because he could make money and bring in the 'fans' fighting nobodies and no one really seemed to care. People were already ga-ga over him at this stage.

 

I found it funny how after The Ring had a cover like that after the Whitaker, they praised him so much because he beat Kamau and Camacho.

Yeah it was weird.... as if those victories cemented his place as the no.1 p4p and wiped away the funk from the Pea fight.

Like I said, people were Ga-ga about him already at that stage.

Give him his due for fighting Kamau and Camacho?
