De la hoya defaeated jcc and sweet pea at the end of their careers, i don't believe he could have beat either in their prime. He loss to trinidad, mosely(twice), hopkins, mayweather jr and pacquao. Each time he faced tough opposition in their prime he lost. The golden boy is intelligent, handsome and has great main stream appeal which has made him a very rich man. But oscar is a good fighter not a great fighter. I respect oscar because he maximized his abilities and made the most of his talents.

He's easily an ATG and has faced a **** load of great fighters in always very competitive fights win or lose ! We can't say the same about certain best proclaimed fighters in today's world !!

He's in the top 100 P4P, somewhere. I feel he lost to Whitaker and Sturm and barely beat Quartey in a fight that really could have gone either way. He did beat Trinidad, though. He never really established dominance over any great fighters, even in his prime at his best weights he was taken to the limit and given all he could handle (Quartey, Vargas) and beaten (Mosley, Whitaker) by some of his contemporaries. Still, I have him beating Trinidad, Quartey, Vargas, Mayorga and a still dangerous JJC, that's not exactly a bad record.

No....DLH is definitley an ATG. Winning titles in 6 weight classes and world championships, Olympic Gold....no question. Even with his contrversial losses he has always been competitive against the best and never dominated aside from this past Saturday at 35.

Good fighter. Not an ATG. Never had a defining moment in his career. Never established any dominance in his career to be considered an ATG.

What you saying makes a lot of sense. When he steeped it up hi lost. Always fought at home. Lost to Trinidad, Mosley and (Sturm) in his own division, and then took on the best of the smaller guys and lost again. ATG :huh

:rofl Why does WBOGUS become legit? It was a POS title until DLH won it. Tyson, PBF, Lewis, SSM never went after it because it was bogus and is still a POS title, but DLH always went after it even though in the 90s it was very subpar and to think he is credited with being MW champ because of the WBOGUS, what a joke:-(
