He was an absolutely great fighter who should be given credit for his defeats of Trinidad and of Mosely (2nd fight). He was the real deal in every way. (Right Jack?) :deal
Funny thing is, everybody is allways saying ''Oscar lost all of his biggest fights'' while I think it's better to lose your biggest fights then lose in not your biggest fights:hey :yep So its better to have a few (close) losses on your record from your biggest fights, then have losses in fights that you thought you would win easy:hey
*** Mayweather Jr can't even say that because he hasn't even fought someone worthy in his weight class...
i think he gets alot more credit than you think. and he gets too much credit for his current form, the guy is an inactive part-time boxer and yet some people still think he is among the best at 154. Newsflash, he isn't.
Yea he did beat Tito and Mosley but he lost to Sturm, Hopkins and Mayweather. He wants to fight the very elite and he is getting older.
in his prime he was great to watch, he didn't duck anyone and fought anyone his promoters wanted him to fight, but now its a different story.
For example let's say Wlad; he has a loss against Sanders while he supposed/expected to win that fight (easy). Sanders was, is and will always be (remembered as) a journeyman. But he lost to him. So what I was trying to say is (even though I am not a fan of DLH at all) what's better, lose against top fighters, or against a journeyman/no-names?
he should also be discredited for lossing to Whitaker and Sturm. And I also like to **** on him for looking like crap against Quartey. PS Oscar is the only fighter I've ever honestly disliked 100%
Now he's taking up boxing air-time with two boring fights. He could fight better preps like Simms or Spinks but since he is only seeing Floyd $ signs, the fans will have to watch him bully a midget.
