He's a promoter now. You expect him to say his fighter will lose?

all the other times he had a feeling mayweather would be beaten. this time he has a hunch. there's a big difference.

  4. i didnt say he would retire. people will simply lose interest. look what happened to cintron after it was proven that he had no heart. he lost a lot of fans and he cant travel to puerto rico anymore. no puerto rican respects the guy. if ortiz quits again, he'll lose a lot of fans. duran didnt quit cuz he was getting beat up. leonard didnt want to fight and duran grew frustrated. de la hoya quit after a long and illustrious career. he did his fans a favor by retiring after he quit. mexicans dont like quitters. i had never seen a 22 year old fighter quit the way ortiz did. it was pathetic. he really shouldnt wear the mexican flag on his shorts. **** ortiz. **** him. i hope mayweather knocks him out. he ll never be able to erase the past. he's s ****ing quitter. he has no heart. he's a ****ing cur. if he quits again, his career will be over. honestly, would u want to see another one of his fights if he quits again? did u hear what he said after the maidana fight? kellerman should have smacked him in the teeth.

The older he gets, the more Oscar is becoming more comparable with Atlas.

Being Bitter is an unhealthy thing!

Exactly, he was only 22! Every man has a limit to what they want to take in a fight. Luckily Ortiz increased what he's willing to take and it paid off vs. Berto. I don't think he will quit again, but if he does, ya fuk him. But I don't blame anyone for quitting after taking an insane beating. Ortiz was actually smart to quit vs. Maidina, he may have saved something in doing so. What he said post fight was emotion talking. He was in no place to rationalize after that war. He's proved he's a warrior again vs. Berto and that's what matters and that's the present. You're only as good as your last fight they say so Ortiz is a fukin maniac in the ring.

De la hoya backs Ortiz . . . Well lets look at it this way.

Ortiz is a Mexican-American like himself

Ortiz is fully under Golden boy Management

Oscar always picks against fighters who beat him

Seriously I respect Golden Boy as promoters who get their fighter great shots and dont beat around the bush but . . .

Oscar is one Biased Mother ****er

Oh, look who's back in Ortiz' corner after all but leaving him for dead after the Maidana fight.

I remember an interview Ortiz gave a year or so back, and I felt so bad for him. He said he couldn't even get Oscar to answer the phone when he called, and whenever he tried to get an appointment, Oscar was always occupied with Canelo. That's one of the reasons Ortiz is so bitter. He blamed HBO (i.e. Kellerman) for publicly humiliating him to the extent that Oscar felt he was too toxic to associate with. They figured he was done after the Peterson debacle and threw him to Berto wanting to cash him out while he had any market value left.

Now Oscar is picking up the phone again. ****ing pathetic.

And the Most Overused Phrase of the Fight Award goes to...

    "young, strong lion"

Good job on the promo tho Oscar. Real boxing fans know the truth. But I'm sure you'll get some casuals interested in it.

    This is so stupid.

A promoter will always pick his boxer. Nothing more to say.

Oscar is just trying to hype the fight with the Mexican demographic.
