The only guys on that list i see him having problems with are Lara and Manny(prime). Rest of those guys Oscar wins. Heck prime Oscar beats Floyd too. No doubt.

The main difference is that De La Hoya was a proven commodity. He fought all the other top welters. Today's fighters avoid each other too much, so we can't really tell where they stand. You have to give ODLH the upper hand against all of the current fighters until someone defeats all the other challengers and rises to the top.

He may have gone a little crazy with the fishnets incident but damn he was an awesome fighter!

I think Oscar beats all or most of them.

Good to hear people give Oscar props. The only A side superstar who constantly make dangerous fight when he didn't have to. At welter he fought Whitaker Trinidad and Quartey, arguably all undefeated.

Only Pac on that list has a chance against DLH in his prime. It won't be a drained Oscar that's for sure.

I could see Lara spoiling the party and outboxing Oscar. The rest Oscar clearly beats. The late 90s/early 2000s welters were way better than the Floyd/Pac recent era. It could've been even better too. King starved out Trinidad of big fights that should've happened till he fought Whitaker, and Quartey was too inactive, and basically retired after he fought Oscar. Trinidad-Quartey should've happened, and Oscar should've rematched both Trinidad and Quartey. And Jose Luis Lopez could've been in the mix for super fights.

When prime, Oscar would've beat them all very convincingly, and would've edged Floyd (of young) 7-5 most likely.
The 154 pounders are so whatever. There is NO possibility of them beating Oscar. Lara? Andrade? Come on. We're talking Oscar, not Cotto!

DLH would beat them all. Lara has a case on points but it´s also quite possible DLH drops him. DLH at 147 was one of my all time favorite fighter. Btw. I see prime cotto beating all 147 pounders on the list.

    Oscar hammers them all .

Against the 147 fighters only Spence gives him a fight but it still doesn't go the distance.

Against the 154 fighters they either run or get knocked out.

Id even say he is 50 / 50 vs GGG.

    Im a bit of a fan :)

Great match ups, the only fighter that would give him issues would be MP but he would win that fight.

Not a great fan of Oscar here, but he's the clear favourite against all of them.
