This guy continues his history of not showing up in big fights. He lost to Mosley 2x, Hopkins, Tito, PBF and Pac and has recieved gifts in others. It has to be said he's the most overrated fighter of the last 25 years. He's a good fighter but simply can't beat the elite. He's a media darling a farce and people have bought into it for years. Quitting on your stool against a man you dwarfed in the ring is unacceptable and hurts his legacy period. He isn't and ATG simply a good fighter with a carefully constructed career of smoke and mirrors. His legacy is without a doubt is tarnished forever.:deal

I also find it funny that he made a name for himself by beating a 99 year old Chavez when he was much younger. And tonight he's humilated by a much smaller man and quit like a ***** instead of going out on his shield like a legend and true ATG in Eric Morales. **** Oscar De La Hoya and his fans he's ruined boxing IMO and hogged the spotlight for far too long.

I hate bob Arum but couldn't help but laugh my ass off when I saw him in the ring next to Manny after his demoliton job of Oscar.:yep

I think you're being a bit harsh on DLH. Sure, many parts of his career were carefully orchestrated, but he did fight a lot of great names from his generation, and barring what happened tonight, he was always competitive, even in defeat.

At one time, Oscar was an outstanding prize fighter.

He had a good career and was great ambassador for the sport.

Oscar is older now against Pac than Chavez was against him and with more losses as well. :deal

I agree, thats why his arrogance bothered me so much, most fighters who are that arrogant can back it up in the ring but he always lost his big fights. You are right about Chavez, he was way past his prime when Oscar beat him.

Oscar has always come up short against the elites. He's had the career he's had today because of his media darling status. The guy lost to Pea, Ike and Sturm but got the nod. All the fights he won at 130 and 135 need to be looked at more closely because he was so much bigger and faced older comp or never anything comp at those weights. When he got to 147 and started fighting people his own size he started losing.:deal

Well I guess Floyd is on the same level of fraudness he barely got by Oscar while Manny stopped him guess we know who the true P4P fighter really was when Oscar and Floyd faced each other.

Oscar is far more faded now then when he fought PBF, and Forbes fight is proof of how far the overrated one has fallen.

Barely got by my ass. One crooked judge doesn't change the fact that Mayweather clearly won that fight.

PBF is a true ATG undefeated and never close to being dogged like Oscar was in the ring tonight by a much smaller man. This fight tonight made Hopinks-Pavlik look like child's play. He embarassed himself and his people. Not to mention PBF owns Oscar's ass between the ropes and May 5th 2007 will always be Cinco De Mayweather.:deal PBF > Oscar deal with it.:hi:

The fight with Whitaker could have gone either way. Same with Quartey and he showed mad heart in that fight.

Oscar was robbed against Tito and should have gotten the decision against Mosley the 2nd time as well.

He did lose the Sturm fight I agree but to say he is the biggest fraud in boxing over the last quarter century is stretching it way too far. How about recognizing it for what it is that DLH has been on the downslide for 5 years and got beatdown by the best p4p fighter since Roy was at his best.
