    No matter how he'll be castigated or stump down now on his final defeat, you can't take away his legacy as a boxer. He was a fighter. He fought the best and ducked no one. Something you can't say of others...

    He'll be a two times HOFer and an ATG. That's an achievement...!!!

    realistically this is WAY to harsh on oscar.

    Oscar, win or loose has one of the best records in any timeframe oposition wise.

    he may never have been as good as the 90's marketing wagon led us to believe but that does not change the fact he put it on the line MANY times against the great fighters of his era.

    this is just hate pimp. i am certainly no oscar hugger, (simply i have not had as much exposure to him over here in the UK as the yanks) - but i appreciate what he gave to boxing in terms of oposition.

    pac was murdering him every time he let his hands go. his corner should have pulled him out before to behonest, this isnt rocky, this isnt the movies, the man needs a life after boxing and shouldnt be sucking on straws for the rest of his life.

    Come on, Morales quit as well. He could've gotten up in their 3rd fight. the ref would've stopped it sooner rather than later, but he was fully aware of what was happening and could've gotten up. he quit.
