I think Oscar does very well against this level of opposition, i.e not the very highest level of great fighter. Cervantes isn't going to be breaking Oscar (because of his own style of smooth boxing), i think Oscar could beat him. But if it was over fifteen i'd have to go with Cervantes simply because i don't believe Oscar is a fifteen round man.

This might have been ODLH best weight , he just didnt stay here too long. Cervantes was an excellent fighter(borderlinge great) but Oscar was already experienced here and in his prime, Cervantes borderline great ODLH definitely a great fighter and a first ballot HOF and not just cause of his fame but his great fighting ablility. Cervantes would do well and be competetive but Oscar shines here and stops Cervantes.. Oscar Tko 10

Over 15? Cervantes. Oscar is always fading late and it would be competative in the early and midrounds.

ODLH didnt have stamina issues early on, seems like that didnt become an issue until the 2nd half of his career. Cervantes= borderline great ODLH=ATG. ODLH would handle everyone Cervantes beat and probably some of the ones who did beat him. Cant say the same about Cervantes if he were to fight some of Oscars victims. HTH 140 would have been Oscars best weight had he hung out a little longer.

Oscar clearly, different level of fighter, Cervantes isn't that good, too 1dimensional and slow

 that's just what i was thinking PP. Antonio cant match Oscar's speed no way no how. it's like roadrunner vs Wile E. I see Oscar laying a debilitating whupping on him. No way can he get away from all those combos

Yeah. Oscar was given trouble late by MAG, but he beats Cervantes clearly.

I'd argue that DLH isnt on the level of Locche, and Benitez.

I'd take Kid Pambele all day over the cross dresser.

I think Oscar would do well in the early rounds, and he would win a close fight over twelve...but in a fifteen round fight, I'd take Cervantes...he would come on late. Cervantes fought some very tough competition.

I gotta go with DLH..... DLH is the more proven greater "Range" fighter of weights and sizes, where as Tony Cervantes stuck around 135 to 145 forever and a day..... DLH is prolly a wee bit stronger than Cervantes ever was, as well.........

Yey but being better doesnt mean you will last longer? Comeon you should know this. One other thing when Oscar fought Gonzalez he was under the tutelage of El Professor who was trying to turn him into his former protege Miguel Canto, so that was a big reason he played boxer all night, there were quite a few ODLH ko victims who would have lasted that night. Kind of think Motor city Cobra and The Hitman 2 different versions of Hearns.

One other thing Cervantes was better defensively and the better fighter than Gonzalez but i wouldnt say he was as durable. Not to many guys beat Gonzalez in that category. I could see Cervantes lasting the distance which is strong Possibility, but the winner here is an easy one for me OSCAR tko 10 or decision but he gets the W here.

Oscar looked good, but he didn't stop Gonzalez.
