Condsiering Oscar De la Hoya did pretty well in the first match upagainst Bernard Hopkins. I wonder if a rematch will ever happen, it would be a huge fight.

    Its all about the money.

Oscar would have to beat Floyd to make peopel think that he has a chance. If he does beat floyd then there will be demand for a third fight between the 2 of them and by the time all of that happens bernard will be eligible for social security so I don't imagine it wille ever happen.

Never. Nard's at 175 now. DLH-Pac is much more likely....

Doesn't make any sense with Nard at 175 I agree. Nard will not go down in weight. Hell, they fought their "middleweight" clash at 157.

A weakened Hopkins came in at 156 (closer to Oscars' best weight of 154) to whip Oscar. Oscar should fight Winky, get his ass beat then retire.

If DLH was koed by a livershot in the first fight, he would be koed by a kidney shot in the rematch.

Well given that DLH and Floyd are trying to force feed everyone another garbage fight between them and there has even been talk about a DLH vs Pacquiao fight I don't think that this is far fetched. In boxing if it makes dollars it makes sense.

I sense that Oscar's last opponent will be no one else but Winky Wright... Wright agreed to fight Bernard at 170 with Golden Boy and said very clearly who does he want next - like I have done my part, what about you now? Nobody wants Winky and Oscar has a chance there to beat the man who beat the man who beat him twice... It's a bit strange that he chooses to take one of his business partners like Nard or Shane for his farewell, I don't believe he would want it... It's Floyd and Winky but it should have been Tito instead.

I have no interest in seeing B-Hop beat the smaller Fishnet again.

Dorf are you saying this in general or is this an opinion? I honestly feel Oscar has ZERO chance to beating Winky. It would be an ugly one sided afair controled by Winky's Jab.

Even though Winky is a converted southpaw and Oscar has more power in his left, I honestly feel that's not a winnable fight but his last fight is supposed to be against a name opponent at that weight class. Winky said he was not a 170 pounder or a 168 pounder, and that he wanted Oscar at 160 or at 154 in front of Oscar and Bernard, last July... Everybody wants a big money fight with Oscar but that fight should make some sense for Oscar and for his legacy too... Oscar is not going to share the profits with Don so it's not Tito. Who else do we have - Bernard and Shane with whom he is going to spend the rest of his life as a promoter? Don't think so... So if he's not going to avenge any of the five losses, Winky is available and maybe Oscar feels that's a winnable fight for him ( beats Winky who beat Shane twice and that is an opinion).
