In my opinion, Oscar, who has faced a lot of challenges in his life, would get a lot more respect fighting Cotto than Hatton, who is -- weight and reach taken into consideration -- an easy match style-wise for him. The question is -- who wins?
i still think ODLH takes this...you dont need speed to handle cotto, you need a strong chin and heart (oscar already have the offensive tools needed)...i think Oscar can handle Cotto's bodyshots more than he can BHOPS'...
Even a currently faded DLH would beat Cotto. DLH has every possible advantage over Cotto.... speed, power, chin, combinations, ring generalship.. Cotto's wouldn't be able to hold up to the powerful, rapid-fire combinations of Oscar for very long. Yet I'm sure that Cotto dick-swingers will hurry to point out that Hopkins stopped DLH with a body shot, as if DLH has never taken a body-shot up until that point.
wtf is this myth? PBF didnt stun oscar to the body fool, oscar was never hurt in that fight, only tiredatsch
I think if it goes the distance its proly due to Miguel's chin then oscar's power, he still dropped mayorga with a single left hook in his last fight b4 mayweather and miguel as proven to have a strong chin
He was momentarily stunned in round 5 and his legs did a buckle but he recovered quickly. It was a right hand to the face though, not the body.
Oscar has one of the best jabs in boxing. He didn't use it nearly enough in the Mayweather fight, and I think that was partially because he was trying to implement so many other parts of his game plan. He would use his jab against Cotto. I also think his upward slanting left hook would find the mark to often for Cotto to withstand. I think Oscar wins this by ko somewhere between rounds 5-9.
yeah ur right when he had pbf on the rope dgot caught by a great right hand and momentarly felt back with his knee, thats the only time i can remember
DLH fades late in fights. He faded in all his big fights. He even faded in the Mayweatehr fight. Rounds 6 and on is Cotto's domain. Cotto takes DLH out late with a relentless body attack. The young lion is to much for the golden goose.
