Time machine fantasy 154lb match-up, the version of DLH that beat Fernando Vargas against the version of JH that beat Erislandy Lara, which I think closely enough approximates either man's best instance of form against elite competition at light middle. 12 rounds.

I think how badly either man could hurt the other is a very interesting question to ponder. What I don't think is questionable in the least is that it would be a DAMN entertaining fight. Even if Oscar chose to "box" a`la second half versus Tito, he's facing a different style here (for better or worse) and would be forced into a reckoning at some point. :deal:

Oh - and I don't want to hear any "well if Pacquiao-" bunkum in here. I specifically indicated which versions of each guy at 154lbs.

Likewise no arguments in the manner of "well Harrison was successful when he...", for the same reason cited above. :nono:

That jab and left hook would land at will.

Eventually it takes too much a toll on Hurd. The Oscar that fought Nando was elite 154lber. This ain't no Charlo sister we're talking about.

The DLH that beat Vargas and Mosley at 154 was a beast and was going to be very hard to beat, sadly he made the wrong choice moving up and got beaten by Strum and Hopkins

De La Hoya disposes of him in 8. Easy work. For that matter, Vargas stops him in 10.

I would pick prime Fishnets to beat everyone at 147 and 154 right now

Let's be honest Hurd is an absolutely terrible and terrifying match up for anyone who started life as a super featherweight.

What can Oscar do to actually stop his ass getting walked down. He didn't have the legs or power to trouble Hurd?

Agreed, I honestly can't see Oscar stopping Hurd at all, he might take a decision but he's just as likely to get floored.

DLH was, at super feather and lightweight like, an even bigger weight cutter than Broner.

He was a natural big welter (or smallish-average/perhaps mildly pudge 154).

I got Floyd beating both, relatively easily but DLH here, decision most likely.

I'm going to go against the grain here and predict that this fight ends in a controversial draw.

I don't see ODH being able to hurt Hurd enough to stop Hurd from applying pressure, yet I don't see Hurd tagging ODH often enough to emerge the clear Victor since he would also be getting countered and tagged.

I'm sad Oscar was such a good fighter because I really want to be able to pick somebody to splatter him.
