    Cotto would whip Oscar's ass.

No doubt in my mind. I know I said the same thing about Cotto-Pac, but this is different.

exactly, DLH just stayed on the rope when being preasured by manny's combination and he didnt make any turn or even answering. cotto footwork is clearly better, DLH these days is painfull to watch because he can't duck opponent punches.

i don't think it will happen. i will stick to my prediction that cotto will eek out a points win against yuri...williams will beat cintron and fight cotto for a strap, beat him rather badly and then fight sergio in a rematch/unification.

but IF this were to happen...tough to say. i don't know about cotto at 154 and i don't know if oscar really wants a scrap or if he just misses the limelight and wants the cameras on him again. at one point not too terribly long ago i would have said oscar whips him at 154...not too sure now

Can it happen? Maybe. Retirement seems to be a fickle mistress for Oscar De La Hoya and I think Oscar understands that his name is a valuable commodity and can be used to make new stars. While Oscar might not "have it" in the ring, he definitely still has something close to it in terms of name value. Not only that but Cotto vs Oscar is basically a license to print money. Cotto has the huge support of the P.R. fanbase, Oscar De La Hoya is still Mexican enough to get the support of the Mexican populace. Not to mention it's Puerto Rico vs Mexico and everyone wants that. With that said, Oscar seems to be loving retirement and Cotto seems set to follow suit in a few fights. Even if Cotto beats Yuri Foreman and stays around for 2-3 more fights, I figure Arum will milk him within Top Rank.

Who wins? On precedent you'd have to pick Oscar. More fights at 154, more extensive resume etc etc etc. I would probably lean towards a Cotto decision win. He won't have the power to finish Oscar but he'll take it down the stretch.

I think cotto should fight foreman first , if he wins a the title then dela hoya , cants say who would win though, depends on oscars mental status does he come with the mindset of old or has he gone completely soft. love em both though ,GREAT FIGHT

Cotto does not have the style to beat Oscar. He's not nearly the boxer FloydMoseley and Manny are. Cotto is slow and easy to hit. At a new weight class with a great puncher like Oscar it could turn into the Mayorga fight. Maybe Cotto wins with a liver punch, the only shot I give him.

Why are you still on Cotto threads. You already avoided my life time ban bet for the loser of Cotto vs Foreman. If Cotto is really finished, put your rep on the line so we don't ever have to see you post again :good
