What’s cracking everyone. I have a renewed interest and love for De La Hoya after his hilarious commentary on last weekends card. Let’s Go babyyyy

Any how I am intrigued by a fantasy fight which would have been epic. Who would have won in a dream match between Sergio Martinez and De La Hoya at 154 pounds?? Think the Sergio who iced Paul Williams versus the De La Hoya that beat Vargas. I pick Sergio by decision in a very great fight.

Interestingly, these 2 are both active fighters now and this fight could happen if they want it now as older fighters.

I’d like to see Oscar fight anyone, in Columbia with no drug testing. That would be fun to watch. Forget about Martinez or Oscar fighting anyone except you tubers or geriatric boxers. If they fight each other, the only point of watching would be to see who got slower and flabbier over the years. Would rather see either man fight regular people on the street or maybe a bear or kangaroo.

I lean towards Martinez. Bigger fighter and I think de la Hoya would struggle with his sheer speed and unorthodox way of fighting. Then again I don't like Oscar that much so take this with a grain of salt.

I agree although Oscar had the better traditional technique I think Martinez would have battered him on the way in and then been out of the way and Oscar would spend a lot of time trying to catch him

    Martinez.

Bigger, faster and a bit slicker.

Martinez would send DLH to the floor 2 - 3 times in the fight and beat him by UD. Martinez at his prime was unbeatable.

What’s weird about this fight is they are almost the same age yet Oscar was retired before Sergio was all that prominent

    I chuckled.................

But I digress: At JMW or MW, Sergio wins. At WW, Oscar

Let's see it! Let it play out to it's natural conclusion. No trigger happy refs or corner men. May the best man win!
