tito wasn't in great shape for the hopkins fight.

he stopped training camp to help with the rescue and recovery efforts at the world trade center.

he was also was donating blood every day. he just finished drawing 6 litres of blood only minutes before the ring walk.

tito was as benevolent a human being as he was a great fighter.

 

Was the lesson: How to pitty pat, thumb and eye and fight for only 8 rounds with a mean face and then run like with a nervous face for the last 4 rounds?

Cause if that was the "lesson" then yeah.


But maybe the lesson was:

Tito DEFINITELY won a few early rounds and won the last 4... so MAYBE... Just MAYBE, your so called lesson is fanboy bull**** and the judges scored the fight for Tito. :rasta

Stop being blind. As someone said before, one of the judges gave DLH the 12th round, when he did nothing. This fight was fixed.

tbh tito had a lot of distractions going into the delahoya fight.

he was involved in puerto rican politics and rumor is tito's wife wanted to divorce him at the time.

not to mention that there was forest fires in big bear.

delahoya was lucky he was in there with a not fully concentrated tito.

delahoya could have seriously gotten hurt.

Now we know why Tito didn't fight anyone for 6 years after he won the title and sat on it beating up cans on Tyson undercards.
