ODLH the lightweight vs. the 6 foot freak who TYSON said had dynamite in his fists.

    Hearns by brutal TKO

Erhm, Tommy Hearns would slice him the **** up, and likely be the only man to really put DLH unconscious from a punch, like he did Duran.

dlh was dominant at 130-135-140 once he went up above that he started losing and getting into tougher fights.... mosley a smaller men was able to fight him toe to toe just like quartey did.. against trinidad his excuse was he wanted to box...

that tells me he couldnt hit hard enough to keep bigger guys off him and that the power bothered him more...

now you tell me what all time welterweight he could beat

    :hat

Oscar has some whiskers but Hearns wouldve hurt him in his prime worse than Pac did in his last days as a fighter. Too much venom in the Cobra.

I definitely give Oscar a punchers chance..I really believe that if Oscar fought the perfect fight and brought a clutchh performance that he really has the tools to posssibly pull this off.....I usually back Oscar up ..BUt one think i will admit is that he underachieved,in the sense that there are fights he could have made easier,,and fights he lost that he could have won had he just made a couple different adjustments... Vs Mayweather the Jab,,Vs Mosley the first time box more and use his jab instead of trying to take him out,Tito he was robbed(and you know the rest), Mosley II robbed. Even though he got the W against Quartey he made that harder than he had too, fought to carefel and stiff in many rounds seem to freeze up.

Only fight that wasnt winnable was the Hopkins fight and fighting Pac at 147 ... He did well vs Bhop early but not sure he could have done anything different, unless he his stamina was twice as oood (but thats to big an if).

My point is that for the exception of the 12th round vs Quarter ODLH never turned it up in the clutch,,like Leonard did....And really never fought the perfect fight against his best opponents(except for first 9 vs Tito)... But even then this is a huge task,,for as great as his jab was he wouldnt be able to outjab Hearns,or out box him... Hed be wise to throw that big left hook to the body early and oftern and hope he can wear Tommy down and land his money left later.... BUt more times than not i dont see him doing this.. Prime Leonard needed 14 rounds and a clutch performance to do so,and for the most part ODLH didnt show he could pull the rabbit out the hat like Leonard, also Leonard was just a little better at most things... Id give to him a slight edge in power over Leonard but not by much..

I think Tommy scores early knockdown...Oscar fights cautious mid rounds as TOmmy outboxes him with his jab...OScar makes surge in mid rounds hurting tommy or scoring a knockdown... BUt TOmmy survives and by the 9th 10th OSCar is puffed up and taking a beating maybe going down again..EIther ODLH corner or ref stops it.... Hearns tko 11

Oscar doesn't get knocked out. Maybe stopped in rounds 7-9 but Oscar would give Hearns plenty to worry about.

Hearns UD. The decision would be clear but DLH would probably have his moments by landing a left hool on Hearns chin, enough to wobble him but not take him out.

It would have actually been nice to have that early 80's Hearns in the welterweight and light-middleweight divisions in the second half of the 1990's. I think he would beat guys like Quartey, Whitaker and Oscar in entertaining fights but if I'm honest, I'd favour Tito via KO over Tommy. I wouldn't want Leonard around though because he would roast everyone.

    Oscar gets brutally KO'd

Anyone suggesting this fight would be competitive is an idiot

He's more early 2000s, but man would I love to see Hearns-Wright at 154. The boxing on display there would be great to see imo

Hearns would take this, but no way does he 'destroy ODLH' like some are making out... he could hang with the best of them at WW.

Extremely interesting fight...Can't really call it to be honest but I would be putting my money on Winky. Before I viewed your post I was actually thinking about Sugar Ray Leonard vs Winky at 154. Favoured Ray.

Hearns is by far my fav old school fighter.
I think he would win, but I could see Oscar landing a hook on Hearn's weak chin.

Then why did he run from Trinidad?
