Even a 35 year Old Oscar is not just gonna stand there
& wait for Wright to Counter him like a Trinidad did or a Quartay
without Oscar's jab being a factor, And his own countering being first.
(if those are the fight's in which most are measuring their decision's on.)
De La Hoya still has the Speed over the plotting Wright....
+ Oscar will be the younger man in there Winky is pushing 38.

If I'm Oscar I don't fear Winky, But this fight is at 154 or bust.
(De La Hoya should never fight as a Middleweight)

If DLH decided to give Winky a fight, i think Winky would faint from happiness. It will never happen. I still find it funny that some people actually think DLH offered Winky a fight. Or that if they did, Winky priced himself out. Heck, even in his last fight against Hopkins, do you know who he was asking for after the fight? DLH? HA HA. I wonder why. Maybe the $$$?

 

I don't want to see Wright getting this easy fight and payday. He's delusional, he acts like he's still top level and a draw when he turns everybody down

I've always said Winky was the only fighter 154 and down that would have beaten PBF back when Winky was still at that weight.
Oscar has gotten credit from me in the past. He's a skilled fighter who won titles in multiple classes he's an ATG. I just think he's overrated because of his record against the elites is not good and has to be factored in.

 

As inactive Winks been, I'll give it to Oscar. Epecially lookingat fights with Soliman , Hop, and Quarty

Winky by UD. I'd actually like to see Winky fight Mora first and get that title. If Oscar gives Winky this fight he will lose yet another one, he will then hold losses (on paper) to all the best fighters of this generation: Winky, Tito, Mosley, Hopkins and Floyd. But this is the only fight he can take to potentially repair some damage that has been done to his resume. Tough situation for Oscar, he deserves alot of respect for taking this fight if he does.

 

Maybe 6-7 years ago I'd pick DLH. But now that h a bit more flat footed, that plays well with Winky because he can easily find DLH with his jab.

Unless DLh starts using his feet more, I feel he loses a close decision.

 

Winky on points...Oscar won't be able to penetrate Winky's defense.
