    Mosely - Loss. Twice
Felix Sturm - Loss. According to many and from what I saw. I do have to re-watch to confirm
    Mayweather - Loss

Quartey - Who won that fight? Many say Ike did. Another fight I'd have to re-watch.

Lost to B-Hop and Pac too. B-Hop had the advantage people say but so did Oscar vs Pac. It evens out.

De La Hoya was grossly overrated. American fighters are. If he was Australian he wouldn't get anywhere as near the popularity that came with being an overhyped cash cow. Americans love selling and promoting a story. They love hyping things up, and then some.

And people say Mayweathers overrated lol. Oscar De La Hoya shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Money May. Not many can period.

And no. I'm not anti American. Because I'll say it again. Floyd Mayweather is the best there was and the best there ever will be.

If anything I'd say he may have been a tad overrated for most of his active days, but is now sold short in retirement (and post-Pac, really)

He fought all comers, I can't say DLH ducked anybody during his heyday.

That Pernell that Oscar beat is better than every fighter today from 135 to 154. Let that sink in

The argument holds weight. A friend of mine bought me a huge Oscar pictorial book. It was for odlh knatthuggers, all the prochecying, expectations, plans, goals, and true intentions. This was suppose to be the biggest American star since Mike Tyson. Things went wildly "real": a non perfect career, losses, heartbreak, etc, this was a old book. I threw it out with 100 magazines of ring magazine and such when I was in a depression (it happens, fans throwing away their stash, then buying it again or else coming back to love the sport again) Oscar was very overpaid lol. He couldn't deal well with the loss to Floyd Mayweather: he said it was the night of the jabs , but the jab was NOT there. Matter of fact, when did Oscar ever use his jab I'm asking?

His wins against Ike and Pernell are better than any fighter from 135 to 147. Of we include the robberies like Mosley 2 and Tito, he has one of the best resumes of all time. Name a fighter Crawford, Spence, Tank, Loma, Haney... Etc has defeated that is better than Ike? I'll wait

Hmm...It seems like it's 2005-2207 on this site once more.

Where's Jack Prescott, Radar and Widdow when you need 'em?

*2007, but I'm keeping the original mistake because @NoChin had a funny reply.

I can't compete with that, that's a fact son. I understand he fought everybody, but his losses were visibly bad losses which just like they say perhaps those losses persuaded to make him look worse than he appeared to be, if that makes any sense. I rank him up there, but I agree with op that there is a large distinction between Floyd and Oscar legacy. I like Oscar. I don't care about post career activity, I just wanted to know what was his best fight using the jab?

He'd kill em mate. Bulldoze em. Could win many different ways.

    They'd both get floored too.

He was robbed against Mosley and Tito. Even taking those losses I consideration he has wins over Pernell, Ikr, Chavez, Vargas, gatti....etc. when it comes to Floyd, I don't know if you can compare resumes, it's tough. I think Oscar beat better prime fighters but Floyd was more consistent. Prime for Prime, based on the Pernell fighter, I think Oscar beats Floyd at 147 but loses at 135 and 140

Perhaps, perhaps not. But one fight doesn't define a whole career. It can. But it didn't for Oscar as he suffered many L's.

Lost too many fights to better opponents. That speaks for itself. Should mentioned, Tito Trinidad beat him too.
