My ONLY gripe with my Oskee is not who won some close fights but how oddly wide scorecards were. The Sturm fight was very close - Oskee underperformed in expectation in that one and it turned out that Sturm was just an excellent unbeaten fighter (we just weren't paying attention.) Only lost to excellent fighters and gave most hell. Beat Whitaker, Quartey, Ruelas, Hernandez, Molina, Mayorga, Gonzales, Leija, Rivera, Castijello, Corley, Carr, Vargas, Campas, Sturm, Chavez 2X, An ATG amateur, an Olympic Gold Medalist. Fought everyone (Wright even turned the fight down!)
I agree 100% with everything posted here, apart from Oscar being a great fighter which I do not believe he was. I would call Oscar an excellent fighter, no doubt a highly skilled fighter but not great in the overall scheme of things. Awesome post!
TT would send Oscar to the Moon! Bang, Tszyum! I couldn't resist saying that, actually young Tim has quite a bit to prove before he shows that he could whip Oscar De La Hoya that's for sure.
But I think TT is awesome, excellent skills Brave Warrior willing to face anyone anytime anywhere, a real credit to the sport.
