Oscar De La Hoya had the best Jab in History. vs. Julio Cesar Chavez 1996 - splits Chavez's eye wide open with a crisp left jab vs. Miguel Angel Gonzalez 1997 - The Golden Boy bassically only uses his left jab to beat Gonzalez, (most would agree after watching this fight) The De La Hoya Jab was a serious weapon would you agree?
His jab was magical. Lennox Lewis, Wlad Klitschko, Larry Holmes and a few others would argue the GOAT though.....
Not the best in history, but seriously it was one of the best. Gonzalez was beaten by one hand that night.
eh. im not so sure. quartey's was much faster and landed harder. But i think de la hoya had the more skillful jab that did more then just hurt you, it kept you off balance and set you up for those fast combinations he used to throw.
I do not think he had the best jab in the history of boxing, but it was a very good jab. This may be a controversial choice, but I think that Wladimir Klitschko has a better jab pound for pound if there is such a thing as best jab pound for pound. Since I grew up in the 1990s and 2000s, Klitschko has the best jab that I have seen. From the 1990s to today, if anybody can think of a boxer with a better jab, please let me know.
great jab alright!not even the greatest on the planet at its peak.....lennox lewis had that wrapped up!!
