I hate Oscar the promoter but he was a tough fighter. I still pick Duran but Oscar would have made it a great fight.

ODLH isn’t going to stand in front of Duran like Barkley did in Roberto’s peak middleweight performance. In Roberto’s very next fight, a fight he had more reason to be prepared for than any since the first Leonard fight (finally getting back in the ring with Leonard to atone for quitting), he couldn’t lay a glove on Ray because Leonard used smart footwork … Duran at that point couldn’t deal with a moving target.

I think Oscar at 160 is a bad fight for Roberto style wise.

 

Duran at his prime beats the beans outta Fishnets.

 

Did you forget that Delahoya barely beat John John Molina at 135 lbs? He may have even lost that fight. Duran is considered by many to be the best 135lb fighter ever. Sugar Ray Leonard said that Duran was the hardest hitter he faced. He was called the hands of stone for a reason. I favor Duran by points or a late stoppage.
