This topic was on the general forum.

Some idiot said "DLH easily handles prime Duran. See DLH-Chavez 1 to show how this fight goes".

    And he wasn't even trolling

On a good night I think Duran takes it, he'd be to rough for Oscar on the inside and would bust him up to the body and head eventually breaking Oscar down and finishing him off. But if Duran comes in and is not himself like he was known to do sometimes he'd be in big trouble against De La Hoya.

I clearly favor Duran to win, but Oscar was no slouch in the lighter weights; at 135 he's a pretty big guy with a very long reach and a terrific jab.

Than again, Duran is arguably the greatest 135 lber in the history of the sport and was an absolute monster in that division with true one punch KO power, underrated boxing skills and defense.

I would've loved to seen this fight. DLH would be put in a life and death situation from the constant pressure, how he'd be able to respond from it would be very interesting to see.

If both were 100% focused and healthy, I'd favor Duran by a wide UD in a 12 or 15 rounder, with a chance for the late stoppage.

This would be the Duran of the late seventies had he decided to stop off on the way to the 147 lb division. Provided he took all his challenges seriously,he'd be very much the same animal who beat Esteban De Jesus in their rubber match. I see very few beating him. And as good as Oscar was,he would n't be one of them.

Duran by tko around the eighth or ninth.
