Completely impartial. He has done a lot and fought the best, but has got some very dodgy decisions. Has been exciting and has been boring.

The longer he fights the very best fighters who he does not deserve, the more I want him to retire. He will be appreciated more when he hangs them up for good.

Somewhere in the middle, but I love watching his sensitive fanboys get their feelings hurt when you criticize him.

The title he took from a roided up, prime Vargas? The clinic he gave an undefeated and prime Tito? The win over a very good fighter in Quartey? His two great fights with Mosley? His thrashings of Chavez? His victory over Whitaker? His close fight he just had with one of the best P4P fighters in history, while he is clearly past his prime and inactive?

No credit for any of those things huh :patsch

I won't say I "love" him. I did love Oscar back in the day though. I think Oscar could've gone into retirement a bit better. I would have liked to see Margarito instead of Forbes and Cotto instead of Mayweather. He should of just ate the loss against Floyd and moved on. This would have ended his career with the excitement he keeps saying he wants to be involved in. It would have also been more in keeping with what I used to love about DLH, the fights!

"The title he took from a roided up, prime Vargas?"

   Prime Vargas?? In the 3 fights Vargas had before he fought Oscar he had ben knocked down 5 times, even knocked down by weak hitting Rivera, wobled repeatedly by Flores his former sparrig partner, and was sent to the hospital twice overnight for observation he was beaten so bad. All in the 3 fights before he fought Oscar. This was a prime Vargas??

"The clinic he gave an undefeated and prime Tito? "

    Oscar lost

"The win over a very good fighter in Quartey? "

Yes it was, but remember Quartey was semi-retired and had not fought in 17 months. He asked for time to fight a tune-up and Oscar said no. Now or never. Quartey had 8 weeks to get ready. And yet many thought he won that night.

"His two great fights with Mosley? "

Yes but Oscar lost both times.

Chavez was not prime. Whitaker was on his way down as shown with the 2 fights he had before Oscar .. Rivera and Hurtado. rivera had knocked him down and Hurtado was ahead going into the 11th round before Whitaker caught him. That fight alone showed how much Whitaker had gone down hill. Oscar jumped on fighting Whitaker after watching Whitaker flounder around that night.
Arum was a genius picking the right times and the right fighters for Oscar throughout most of his career making sure he had the edge in weight having others come up a weight class to fight him. And making sure that they had seen better times.
Go back to your fantasy world Beware and get those fishnet pictures down.

How many times do we have to go over this. What ever deterioration Vargas was showing in the fights between Tito and Hoya, he didn't show the night he fought Oscar. I've repeated this so many times its annoying. What exactly did you see the night he fought Oscar, specifics, that leads you to believe he wasn't in the best possible shape that night. Motivation motivation motivation......oh and steroids all explain why he could possibly be subpar in the fights leading up and then back to top form for the Oscar fight. Watch the Tito fight and then the Hoya fight back to back. Chin, Speed, power, determination, reflexes.....they are all there. The only reason he might look better against Tito is because Oscar is the much better boxer then Tito. A fighter like Vargas would look quicker and like a better boxer against Tito, then he would Oscar. And Tito was still out boxing him for most of that fight anyway, and out-speeding him. His Chin wasn't shot at all in the Hoya fight, go back and count how many CLEAN shots he takes and he still finishes on his feet. Is Oscar not a big puncher? don't even lie and say no.

I don't love or hate Oscar, just appreciate what he's done for the sport.

I do hate the fact he's holding up great fights from being made, by letting Floyd suck off his tit.
