Because he only fought twice at Middleweight, Once against BHOP and once against Felix Sturm. He wasn't a Middleweight. Osacr's biggest strength was his intelligence and I think when he fought BHOP he thought he could out box an aging Middleweight that didn't have a rep for being much of a banger and he found out really quickly that he made a mistake. This would be an easy night for GGG.

I agree he fought everybody at welterweight but 160 is a whole nother thing.

Golovkin beats up prime de la Hoya and he sends the version that was around at Brook's time to the morgue.

DLH because of his toughness, skills, and chin would do better than many believe until he is unconscious.

For one, Sturm and Hopkins are better than anyone GGG ever beat, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Felix Sturm was the WBO champ while Bernard Hopkins was the WBA, WBC, IBF and lineal champ at 160 and DLH fought them both, what else was there at Middleweight? If GGG had a belt during Oscar's time then 9 times out of 10 Oscar would of fought him. Oscar was still a world class boxer from 2002 through 2004 and that version when motivated I feel had the tools to potentially beat GGG, if not give him a good fight. Especially if the fight is contested at a 157 pound catchweight like the Hopkins fight was.

I agree that BHOP is better than anyone that GGG ever fought and he is better than GGG himself. My point is when Oscar fought BHOP it was at the end of BHOP's middleweight reign, he was 40 years old not a big puncher like GGG. Oscar thought he could use his speed and quickness but got walked down. I don't know why you think the result would be different against a middleweight like GGG that walked around and 180 to 190 and is unquestionably one of the hardest punchers ever at 160?

You seem to think I don't value Oscar as a fighter and that is not true. He was a fantastic fighter. I just think stylistically he wouldn't go near GGG especially at 160. As he climbed in weight, he struggled with physicality at welterweight and JR. Middleweight. Quartey used his strength advantage push Oscar around and walk him back in their fight and arguably won. Even Vargas used his strength bully Osacr until he ran out of gas and could handle Oscar's hand speed late. I just don't see a way that he could win.

Always thought the version of DLH that campaigned at 154 is a neat little matchup for prime Golovkin. All due respect to GGg, fighting little middles was par for the course for him at one point anyway.

I'd favor GGG but I think it would be competitive.

DLH fought everybody and plenty of guys who were much better than many of GGG opposition. In fact, there are plenty of MWs I think DLH would have beaten on GGG resume. I think DLH could have beaten Canelo. But GGG is a tougher match-up for him because he punches so damn hard.

    Dee-La-Hoya

Bad character leaving KingRy stranded and deserted like that after his loss with Tank. I'm glad Garcia called him and B-Hop out. Smashed that guy and went on to bigger and better things.

It’s competitive for 4-5 rounds but ends viciously when GGG gets his man. It’s not going deep and it’s ending violently.

GGG victims who were better than Sturm.

    Daniel Geale,
    David Lemieux
Canelo ...yes, GGG beat him, regardless of the scores.
    probably others too.

    Yes,Oscar fought both of them.

One of them very clearly outpointed him in a robbery that was even more glaring than Tito's robbery v Oscar.
The other livered him to a KO or a quit-job...take your pick.

Oscar has no resume of note at middleweight...he loses 19 times out of 20 to Golovkin.

Who knows how things would have gone at 154 or some catchweight.
Not sure Gennady could have boiled down too much from 160.

If you're writhing in agony on the canvas from a B-Hop body shot and can't beat the count good luck to your ribs trying to withstand a GGG bomb to them
