Then we are together in this, for I've been a die hard fan and supporter of him on here for a long time :good
Tito's spent most of this current era retired to now and again peek his head out. How is this daring to be great. He didn't go down in weight like Hoya or Mosley to fight the new stars cuz he can't. He fought an old Jones Jr. and this is very good for your argument but he got beat up, knocked down, and clowned by an old Jones Jr. I'm not trying to knock Tito cuz I really do like him but I just don't see how you can think one tops the other in "daring to be great". Tito fought Winky and Oscar avoided him but Oscar did give Winky a call and Winky turned it down. Winky's problem is he needs to just take an oppurtunity when he has it and not think he is a draw because he isn't.
I just figured that's what you were talking about as this is a late Oscar thread. But even still I don't see your point as both fighters dared to be great. Tito didn't get as much names cuz he didn't have as much drawing power and both moved up to fight the best in divisions from lower divisions. Both got knocked out by Hopkins, Hoya would have lost to Winky probably in the same way Tito lost, but overall they're careers aren't too different other than Hoya was more active and fought closer competitive fights and therefore has more losses.
You'll buy it, Dude. Curiosity will get the best of yu. I only hope to hell I'm still here in town so I can go. My luck, I'll get called out to work in a different wireless market somewhere. Both fingers the **** crossed, huh? This just promises to be a Goddamn scrap.
You know, Jack Presscot, you know Pimp C, Pit and a few others I may have forgotten, I have lost the little respect I had left for Oscar I have officially become a hater.
It's hard to say one dared to be great when he got compensated more then any other fighters have been. If you want to make this into a discussion about drawing power...fine. But that's not the point or what I am talking about. You cannot change the fact that while DLH has been scrutinized for many things, facing smaller guys being one, it was there becuase it's what he did. And facing a few guys his size does erase any of that. And then this Pac situation makes DLH look even more like a *****. Tito didn't pick on LW's...he fought a former HW titleist in his last fight. DLH a former Flyweight...
Despite the fact I wanna see Oscar win, aren't you guyz fight fan enough to see how well Manny's gonna do here? I mean, this kid has the heart of a lion on PC****inP. Salute! Hell****inyeah, peeps. See, this is why the UFC went to ****. That used to be the home of the true ****in' gladiator until McCain and a hand full of other big, fat ****in' vagina's started bitchin' about the ****. Hey, I'm still loyal to boxing and always have been, but dontcha think this could serve as somewhat of a cool lil' novelty of sorts? Let us for a bit say, "**** weight classes" and let the manny get in there advertise to the world that he's proud of the size of his sac. **** it.
