I suppose they might want him to fight other Golden Boy fighters like I don't know rematch Lemieux or fight Tureano Johnson. To be honest, they don't have a lot of good middleweights right now, but maybe they could work something out and put Linares or Vargas on a GGG undercard.

ODH gets so incensed with GGG that he climbs in the ring with GGG, and GGG gives ODH a severe beating about the head and shoulders....deservingly so.

Golovkin will only appear to not want the fight to either the haters or the casuals who don't know the business side of the sport.

Nobody offers a fight contract a year in advance, and it's obvious why Oscar has done it.

You can't say he'd be a fool to turn it down, when you don't know the specifics and you don't know what's going to happen within the next 12 months.

If Oscar is genuine, this will be worked out at some point early next year. What I don't want to see next, is some BS by Oscar giving him a deadline.

A lot can happen in a year.

Golovkin has gained a lot more fans since the Brook fight. Also, it looks as though he'll be facing Jacobs next, and BJS says he now definitely wants the fight. Now it's a big IF he can secure both of those fights next, but if he can, and if he can beat those guys, he'll then own every belt in the division. He'll also have even more fans and his reputation will be enhanced. Whereas Canelo on the other hand, may not even fight again this year. And if he does, it will be against a low ranked MW guy to get him used to the weight. So it's possible that Canelo may only have 1-2 low key fights, whereas GG has 2 high profile fights. K2 obviously know this. So forget Oscar's BS, K2 aren't going to sign anything at this stage.

He should sign for the flat fee of $12 mil provided:

They fight in May..which mean one interim fight each..not this wait a year nonsense.

No stipulations in the contract on a rematch concerning future split if a rematch happens.

Just my 2 cents but I don't think Oscar has any intent on making the right a year from now either.

They should sit down early next year and come to a fair compromise on a percentage.

Nobody with any business acumen would accept a flat fee for a fight of this magnitude.

It's a good job most of the clowns on here aren't in business.

Man I thought that this fight was going to be made in December, lmao. If this is a year from now why would GG sign a contract now?

I recall several posters claiming Oscar never ducked anyone when he was fighting. Well that is not true. Do you remember when Cotto-Margarito 1 was announced Oscar bragging that he wanted the winner of that fight as his final fight to " go out in a blaze of glory " When he saw how Margarito totally demolished Cotto Oscar has a change of heart & Backed out. Instead he picked on little Manny Pacquaio BIG MISTAKE!!! LOL Karma is a biotch !! Oscar didn't escaoe an a** kicking he just got it from Manny & not Tony. That really made my day

That isn't ducking. Cotto brought money to the table while Margarito brought a sack of rocks. ****en unpopular plaster using dick. That was Dlh letting Shane get a chance to **** Margarito up. And he ****ed Margarito up, then Pac, and finally Cotto in the rematch.

But but but I thought a flat offer should be accepted. All the stupid Floyd fans thought so with Pac but it suddenly doesn't make sense for GGG.

This premature offer circus only started because Oscar was forced to go into damage control after Canelo ducked GGG.
