http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/2009-02-23-4193840032_x.htm Good news. I wish him all the best.
Next time some ******* is tempted to call a boxer a coward or whatever, he should think of this ****ing guy.
Damn man, I would have thought he'd been releeased a long time ago.. holy ****! This guy was about as close to death as it gtes. Good to hear he's out though... hopefully he makes a full recovery and hopefully the homie has success in whatever he decides to do in life now.
Also, what amazes me sometimes are the cornerman of some fighters which let fights go on even after their fighter is beaten up and has no way to win. I am not sure what they are waiting for-a lucky haymaker? I remember when Foreman fought Bert Cooper in 1989 and Foreman was landing big punches on Bert and Bert was taking it for 2 rounds- at the end of two rounds he quit I think. Well the Arizona commission at the time said they were withholding his purse because he just quit. Cooper said after the fight that he wasn't going to take punches like that. I am not sure he ever got paid, but he probably was. He should have been paid. He earned it.
