http://www.boxingherald.com/news/117/ARTICLE/1405/2008-08-11.html Mon, 11 Aug 2008 23:11:00 Oscar Diaz Update Article By Brad Cooney I just spoke with Lou and Donna Duva and got some very encouraging news concerning welterweight warrior Oscar Diaz. Donna Duva had the following update to share: Oscar is showing some signs of improvement. Oscar has been opening his eyes and responding to voice commands by blinking his eyes. Last night was the first time that he had both of his eyes opened. We are all cautiously optimistic right now. The doctors have lightened up on the medication for the drug induced coma, and it appears that he's in the beginning process of coming out of the coma. BoxingHerald.com will continue to bring you, the fans, more up to date news on the condition of Oscar Diaz, so keep it tuned here. Editor's Note: Your prayers for the brave Diaz are paying off. Please continue to pray for the welterweight warrior.

Great to hear your concern for a boxer who is only 25 years old and may be facing a severe "life" challenge. I will try to monitor the San Antonio media the best I can and provide updates as they become available.
